Chinese herbs are prescribed from the perspective of energy (Qi and blood), with each herb holding its own energy. When the herb’s energy is matched with the patient’s energy, this leads to restoration of health.
Here’s some of the herbs we use for Digestive support (四神汤)：
Dioscorea (山药), Lotus Seed (莲子), Euryale (芡实), Coix (薏米).

Here’s some of the herbs we use for a Blood & Energy tonic (八珍汤):
Tangkuei (当归), Rehmannia (Cooked) (熟地), Ligusticum (川芎), Peony (White) (白芍), Lycium Fruit (枸杞), Codonopsis (党参), Poria (茯苓), Atractylodes (Alba) (白术), Licorice (甘草).
