Connection | Kirtan | Nature | Lei Making

What a beautiful afternoon with some of our friends from kirtan at an intimate hands on workshop learning the practice of devotional garland making.

Everyone's designs were amazing and unique and it was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon together.

Like-minded connection is so important, we chanted to set the mood for the afternoon, then learnt the ins and outs from master garland making Shyamananda dasi and then kicked back with a shared afternoon tea, chai and kirtan to end.

Full hearts and everyone looked gorgeous and smelt amazing

The warmth and buzz on packing days are infectious and special.

The commitment from bakers each month giving their time and resources to this cause makes delivering these snack boxes brimming with nourishment and care to rough sleepers in Brisbane CBD possible.

The invisible support from donors for packaging means we can express our care and intention in the way we truly hope for - a beautiful design, a monthly gift from our hearts to their, wellness resources attached.

Tonight, 180 snack packs that our amazing team of volunteers put together is supporting the food distribution program that Nourish Street Inc runs.

We are truly grateful for this opportunity and the very special community of people who are supporting this to happen each month.

Thank you to the 22 bakers that baked this month and to our wonderful powerhouse packers today, so nice kicking off our first run with you all and for the beautiful hospitality as always from our packing host, lunch was delicious.

Smiles all round and we love when the kids get involved.

This beautiful experience is still carrying us through our week - highlights from our 1st Travelling Kirtan of 2026 🙌

I'll share something so beautiful with you, I was chatting to one of the sweet souls who helped us in the kitchen on Monday night about her experience and if she had any feedback.

With a big warm smile and a twinkle in her eye she replied "It was such a beautiful experience to be part of, to help bring the meal together and then to participate in the kirtan, my heart felt so full and it's still with me, it's a different more lasting feeling to the quick flashes of "happiness" we get say from eating our favorite food or something"

Pretty far out reflection - this share gives a little window into the internal experience we can grow more and more in our life when we act from this place of service for a higher cause and embrace these mantras in our heart.

It just made our night hearing this share as all we wish is for people to experience this deeper happiness in their life and this is what motivates us to show up week in and week out so you can develop a consistent practice and welcome this wisdom and mantras into your hearts 🫶

This past Saturday at Albany Creek was special for many reasons, obviously the anticipation of our first travelling kirtan program for 2026 was there, this wonderful opportunity to share this gift with others always uplifts us. But what really touched our hearts was the support we felt from so many of our regulars who contributed to bringing this evening together for the community and watching the joy and happiness that they experienced from doing so - it was really special, thank you friends 🙏

Don't wait until our next monthly special event to come experience how kirtan melts away all your worries away and brings joy to your heart.

We have two weekly programs, Monday 6pm in Albany Creek and Tuesday 6pm in Kallangur, offering an opportunity where you can gradually build a consistent practice which is really where it is at! Plus this more intimate style program is always such a beautiful way to connect with like minded community too.

Our Story

Namaste & Welcome to Everton Park Yoga.

We feel very happy your journey has led you to discover our classes and offering; giving you access to a variety of ways to improve your health and wellness in the convenient locations of Suburbia Brisbane.

Amit and Chantelle have been leading a Yoga Lifestyle for over 8 years and sharing the gift of yoga in different community settings; from corporate seminars and classes, workshops, retreats, Universities and studio classes. You will find this dynamic duo laid back and very passionate about all things yoga, especially Kirtan meditation and helping people to establish a home practice in order to really experience the amazing benefits of this timeless wisdom in their daily life.

Classes at Everton Park yoga are suitable for beginners to intermediate; with different variations and alignment guidance given. Each class takes you on a journey starting with connection to breath, moving into yoga postures (Asanas) and ending with relaxation and meditation. You will leave feeling energized, yet grounded with an sense of inner peace and clarity of mind.
