🌸 Blooms, Brilliance & Big Moments at the Inaugural FDC Florist Class! 🌸

On Wednesday, the Flower and Garden Precinct burst into life as the very first FDC florist competition took off in full colour! 💐

In just 30 minutes, teams of two battled the clock to create stunning vase arrangements, using only the supplies on hand. The pressure was real, but the results? Absolutely breathtaking. 👏

Take a stroll past the displays to see just how talented our competitors are, and good news: we’re already planning to go bigger next year!

A massive congratulations to the FDC’s own Aleacea Nixon (pictured centre) (representing Roma Show and the South West QLD Subchamber) on being named the 2025 Queensland Country Life Showgirl. This is a huge honour and Aleacea is proud to be a passionate Hereford breeder and a fantastic representative at a state level having been a youth member for 20 years.

Do you have a passion for floristry or just love getting creative? Then this is your moment to shine!

For the very first time, we’re expanding our FDC-based competitions to include Flower & Garden – and it’s going to be a showstopper! 🌿🌼

Here’s what you need to know:
👯‍♀️ Compete in teams of two
🕒 You’ll have 30 minutes to design and create your very own floristry garden using a mystery box of supplies
🎤 It’s all happening LIVE on People’s Day at 10:30am, with judging on the spot!
