If you’ve been doing your clinical Pilates or strength training program for a few weeks and suddenly feel worse after pushing a bit harder, don’t panic. Early improvements are neurological, your nerves are working more efficiently, but real muscle growth hasn’t started yet.
Between weeks 7–14, your muscles begin to grow in size and strength (hypertrophy), building resilience and helping prevent future injuries. Muscle growth will continue over the following months, but at a slower pace, so patience is key. ⏳
