Selective Hearing is pleased to share that Audiology Australia, is hosting a FREE webinar on Tuesday 3 March (World Hearing Day), 1.30-2pm AEDT for parents and carers to help manage their child's hearing journey and understand why hearing well as a child is vitally important.

You'll learn:
• why hearing is so important for children
• the impact of untreated hearing loss
• common childhood hearing issues
• signs your child may need a hearing check
• how to get your child’s hearing checked
• the role of the Audiologist.
The webinar will be hosted by Audiology Australia President Lia Traves, and is intended to mark World Hearing Day 2026's theme, "From communities to classrooms: hearing care for all children".

What an incredible week it’s been for our team at Selective Hearing! 🎉✨

❤️We kicked things off with an inspiring 2-day audiology conference in Brisbane.
❤️A huge highlight… Sue was invited to be the audiologist on ABC Radio, sharing her expertise on “how loud is too loud?” in relation to Edinburgh Military Tattoo being in town. What an amazing opportunity to represent our community and raise awareness about hearing health.
❤️And as if that wasn’t enough, we wrapped up the week with two fantastic days of events at our clinic — full of energy, connection, and great conversations.

Safe to say, we are absolutely buzzing here at Selective Hearing! 💛👂✨

What a fun new experience being invited to chat with Kat Feeney on the ABC Radio Afternoons show. Sue was asked to talk about safe noise levels and hearing protection in relation to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo currently performing in Brisbane. Kat was delightful and it was lovely to be recognised by the ABC as an expert in hearing care.
Key take away - Heaing protection is important, no matter what concert you attend.

Having your child's hearing tested before they commence prep is very important. Being able to hear the teacher/teacher aid and comprehend what they are saying, listen to friends and follow instructions is key to their successful transition to big school.
