🍂 Autumn in TCM 🍂
As the weather begins to cool (even just a little here in Brisbane!), Autumn marks a gentle turning inward — a time to slow down, breathe deeper, and begin letting go of what we no longer need.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is linked to the Lungs and Large Intestine — the organs of breath, boundary, and release. It’s a season for supporting immunity, nourishing the lungs, and caring for the mind-body connection.
You might notice more dryness, skin issues, low energy, or grief surfacing at this time. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can help support this seasonal transition — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
✨ Tips for Autumn:
– Eat warm, cooked foods (think soups, stews, roasted veggies)
– Include pears, pumpkin, ginger, and warming spices
– Keep the chest and neck warm with scarves
– Let go of what feels heavy or out of alignment
