Your body can respond to worrying situations and anxious thoughts with muscle tension.
Long-term and constant muscle tension can have all sorts of unpleasant consequences, from crankiness and headaches through to sleeping and heart problems. So, learning relaxation techniques can be a real asset in managing stress and anxiety.
This week we are going to highlight a technique we encourage participants to use to help them relax, it's called Mandala Circles.

Back2Work is Australia’s leading provider of health services for jobactive and Disability Employment Services providers. We have helped more than 80,000 job seekers with disabilities and mental and physical health challenges return to work by supporting providers with innovative, evidence-based, work-focussed health programs. Our allied health team included psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and more.
Our difference is our deep commitment to results, quality and our research. All Back2Work staff are Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registered and our programs and services have been created with the latest evidence-based research. Back2Work is affiliated with the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) and Université de Montréal in Canada and offers staff the opportunity to pariticipate in our PhD program - The Next Generation.
At Back2Work, we believe people are better working than when they are not. The physical and mental health benefits of being gainfully employed are widely documented, and we aim to assist job seekers to access these critical benefits, regardless of whether they have disabilities or mental and medical health barriers. When providers have job seekers that aren’t working but should be, Back2Work helps carry the load by working collaboratively and delivering a range of proven, timely and cost-effective health services with skills a provider’s staff generally do not have. It is an efficient and practical approach to increasing a job seeker’s likelihood of returning and staying, in work. We also provide staff training and support to induct and upskill employees and reduce staff turnover.
Our allied health professionals work with people including; people with disabilities, ex-offenders, single parents, youth, mature age, homeless, non-English speaking clients, migrants, refugees and more. Our wide range of services are delivered individually, via video call and in groups and include education and engagement, assessment, intervention, placement plus sustaining and ongoing independence. Back2Work’s fast and secure video call platform makes it easier to access a range of health services remotely and quickly. Research shows that video consultations work just as well as face-to-face meetings.
We have metropolitan and regional locations throughout Australia and the UK with offices in QLD, NSW, ACT, Vic, SA, TAS, WA, NT and England.
