This month we wanted to give back to our dedicated GP’s who have consistently referred to Lilley Place over the last year. We wanted to thank them with a ‘Feel Good’ gift pack for working with us during this time, to help our shared patients, their families and the broader community feel better. We hope the contents of this pack will help them continue with their important work of supporting those who need it.

As a token of our gratitude, we are personally delivering these gifts to 68 doctors within our community.

💗 A Sea of Pink for a Powerful Cause 💗

Bright and early on Sunday morning, the Lilley Place Psychology team joined more than 25,000 people across Brisbane for the Mater Chicks in Pink International Women’s Day Fun Run and what an incredible atmosphere it was!

Surrounded by a beautiful sea of pink, we walked, jogged and ran the 5 km course through some of Brisbane’s most iconic landmarks, along the Kangaroo Point cliffs, across the Story Bridge and through the heart of the CBD, finishing in the Botanic Gardens.

But this event is about so much more than a run. It is about hope, resilience and standing together for the 57 women who hear the words “you have breast cancer” every single day.

We were proud to take part in this inspiring event that honours the journeys of mothers, daughters, sisters and friends, while raising vital funds for life changing breast cancer research and support.

A big congratulations to everyone who participated, whether you ran, walked, volunteered or cheered from the sidelines. The energy across the city was incredible.

And of course, a special shout out to our wonderful Lilley Place team for embracing the early start and bringing plenty of pink spirit with them.

Together we move closer to a future with better outcomes for every generation of women.

Big, exciting (and slightly emotional!) news from the Lilley Place family. Our incredible Claire Griffin has been cast in The Lion King! We could not be more excited and completely unsurprised that Claire’s talent, commitment and perseverance are taking her to the stage (again!).
While we are absolutely thrilled to see her chase this amazing opportunity and shine under those bright theatre lights, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t a little bit sad to be sharing her with the savannah for a while. Claire has been such a special part of Lilley Place — bringing care, dedication, laughter and heart to everyone around her.
The good news is… once you’re part of the Lilley Place family, you’re always part of the family. There will always be a place for Claire to land back on the Lilley Pad 🪷
Claire, we cannot wait to watch you shine on stage and cheer you on every step of the way. Your Lilley Place family can’t wait to see your performance (and possibly loudly singing along… apologies in advance to nearby audience members).
Go well, shine bright, and remember — hakuna matata, but also… don’t forget to visit us!
With so much pride and love,
Your Lilley Place Family
