Our 31 March Prescriber Event, How to Translate MAT Assessment Findings into a Product Trial: Building Confidence through Practice – Case by Case, presented by legendary Sunrise Medical Clinical Director, Amy Bjornson, brought therapists together for a practical deep dive into turning assessment insights into confident clinical decisions.

From real-world case discussions to practical strategies you can apply immediately, it was all about bridging the gap between assessment and successful product trials — and ultimately enhancing client outcomes.

Recently, Power Mobility was pleased to donate a Pride Litestream Power Wheelchair to a university program supporting residents of a disability centre in Thailand.

In January, a group of students & academics in the Physiotherapy & Exercise Science program at CQ University travelled to Thailand for 4 weeks. They worked closely with local disability centres to provide allied health services to individuals and develop group programs for the facilities. The program leaders requested equipment donations such as assistive technology, wheelchair parts and maintenance equipment, with the goal of making a real difference in the lives of people living with disabilities in these centres.

Lecturer in Physiotherapy, Johanna Scully said, “I would like to extend our sincere thanks for your generous donation that supported our students during their recent placement in Thailand. Your contribution has had a meaningful impact on the learning experience of our students, and the quality of care they were able to provide.”

“We are truly grateful for your support in enriching the professional development of our future health practitioners, while also contributing to improved health outcomes abroad,” Ms Scully added.

At Power Mobility, we really appreciate the opportunity to be involved in such a worthy cause. Thank you to all involved! 🙏🏻

We’re looking forward to working with Josh Chiswell from quantumrehab_au who will be taking over from Andrew Lopez in Qld as Quantum’s Clinical Educator. Josh has a wealth of experience as an OT, and is keen to start working with our team to provide PD for therapists. We have a number of sessions planned with Josh later this year - including on the Gold Coast and in Rocky - can’t wait!

As a prescribing therapist, it’s really important to try out the chairs you are prescribing for your clients. Cuteness alert! Our Territory Manager, Paul was asked to do a wheelchair trial in Rocky this week, and the client was a very dedicated wildlife rescuer. This was a first for Paul, as he has never conducted a trial while holding a baby 🦘In his own words - “This job made my week. The client has a disability but puts animals first, getting up every 4 hours to look after these orphans. What a legend!” Swipe for more cuteness!
