Think you’re safe from sun damage just because it’s cloudy? ☁️

Alot of us assume that no sun = no burn. But that’s not quite how it works.

Clouds do filter out some UVB rays (the ones that cause burning), but UVA rays — the ones responsible for deeper, long-term skin damage — still come through. That means even when the sun’s hiding, your skin isn’t off the hook.

So yes, SPF is still a must, even on grey days.

Feel a bit odd applying sunscreen in winter?
That’s where Defence SPF 50 comes in. Some people use it in place of their daily moisturiser. It’s loaded with hydrating ingredients and 5% niacinamide, so it feels like skincare, but works overtime. It helps repair existing sun damage and protects you from what’s still sneaking through those clouds.
