Some of the common issues we see at The Health Collab aren’t often random, they are usually linked to daily habits:

🪑Lower back pain - Glutes switch off when you sit for too long
🦶Ankle pain - Old injuries that never got the full rehab needed
📱 Neck pain - From screens or phones

The sooner you address these, the faster you can prevent long-term issues.

Pain = sharp, stabbing and may worsen
Fatigue = dull and heavy

What a week in Bendigo!

The Health Collab had the privilege to manage all aspects of physiotherapy for at the 2025 U/16 Footlocker National Championships!

Ran the Gold Coast Marathon?
First of all, HUGE congratulations from us here at THC 💪 you’ve pushed your body to the limits, and now it’s time to help it bounce back!

Steroid injections are used to reduce inflammation in certain tissue (e.g. bursa or joints).

Research shows steroid injections may provide functional benefits up to 7 weeks, however there are minimal improvements to pain, movement or function at 8 weeks onwards.

Summary: steroid injections may play a role in helping athletes return to sport more quickly. However, there are risks involved with injections that must be considered. Research indicates that because there are no benefits at 8 weeks onwards, physiotherapy should be seen as the primary treatment for shoulder pain.
