Today's Psychology Today's Psychology provides psychology services to the North Brisbane area.

Today's Psychology is a registered psychology practice in Queensland, serving the northside of Brisbane. For over 15 years, our psychologists have worked with children, teens, adults and older adults in independent practice, hospitals and in school settings. When you seek therapy, it is because you want to change something about yourself or your situation, but are unsure of how to do it on your own. Anxiety, depression, loss, addiction, past traumas, relationship issues and a raft of other problems can rob your life of pleasure, satisfaction, purpose and enjoyment, often leaving us feeling out of control and unsafe. We offer to help with making these changes, helping you to get the most out of your life, getting you back in control and feeling like you have direction again.

Managing Anxiety: Recognize, Regroup, Redirect
Step 1: Recognize
🌟 The first step to managing anxiety is recognition. Listen to your body—are you feeling tense, restless, or short of breath? These can be signs of anxiety. Identifying them early gives you the power to take control before they escalate. 💪💙
Step 2: Regroup
🧘‍♀️ When anxiety starts to spiral, take a step back. Pause. Breathe deeply. Remind yourself: This feeling is temporary, and I can handle it. Regrouping helps you regain control and refocus your mind. 🌟
Step 3: Redirect
🌞 Turn anxious thoughts into opportunities for calm. Redirect your focus with a simple practice—drink a glass of water, take a walk, or repeat a positive mantra like “This feeling will pass.” Small actions can create big shifts. 🌿
