Our final workshop before the next 4 week block of classes is with Yumi next Saturday the 9th of August.
The workshop will include:
-Led Asana Class
-Chanting
-A talk on What It Means to Be a Student of Yoga
This is an invitation to explore the deeper dimensions of yoga beyond physical postures. We begin with a led asana class- a practice that emphasizes focus through breath and awareness in motion, guiding us toward inner relaxation. As we move with the breath, we cultivate steadiness in both body and mind, preparing the ground for meditation.
Following the asana practice, we’ll explore the meditative power of sound through chanting. Chanting is a traditional practice that brings clarity, a sense of connection to the divine, and inner stillness. Sacred chanting helps us block out the outer noise/chatters and focus on the sound and vibration, which carry a special kind of power.
We’ll also engage in a discussion on what it truly means to be a student of yoga- not just in class, but in life. Together, we’ll reflect on the value of seeking, honesty, humility, and inner discipline as we walk this path.
When: Saturday 9th August from 7am- 9.30am
Fee: $50
*Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer to Yumi.
