Crisp Monday Morning Walk - what better way to start the week?? 🌞🌞🌞

I always find going for a walk or run is one of the best things I can do to calm my mind πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

Most of the time I put my music in, zone out and just be in the moment, breathe in the fresh air and take in my surroundings 🌿

Other times, when my mind is a little cluttered, I will use the time to process my thoughts, plan out my week and think about my current and future goals πŸ“†

What is something you do to switch off and recharge?πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

"Don't wait until you are breaking to have a break"
I saw this quote the other day and it couldn't be more true. I am the first to admit I don't follow this as much as I should and will push through rather than let my body rest. There is ALWAYS going to be something to be done but we need to remember to prioritise tasks and that includes REST.
In preparation for our upcoming 12wk Challenge we took ourselves to our favourite place Straddie for a couple of nights to recharge before kicking off this Saturday.
Our health is so important and if we are constantly running on empty, somethings got to give. Sometimes all you need is a bit of extra sleep, a day without housework, taking time out to do something you enjoy - the smallest change can make the biggest difference. Look after your body and it will give you your best days yet πŸ’•

🍽
Chicken & Vegetable soup in the slow cooker ready for the week ahead😍
Did you know the bone broth in chicken soup is fantastic for our gut health, acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps to create and maintain strong, healthy bones.
It is also rich in protein and provides the body with many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Plus it is the perfect hot dish on these colder days πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Starting over doesn't mean starting from scratch. πŸƒ
If we can take anything from these last few months, it's for us to have a good look at our lifestyles and habits. Are you happy with how you are living YOUR life??
For many it has been a wake up call, a blessing in disguise.

πŸ”ΉοΈHave you enjoyed spending more quality time with family?
πŸ”ΉοΈHave you been getting away from the screens and soaking up the Sunshine?
πŸ”ΉοΈHave you cooked tastey home cooked meals rather than take out?
πŸ”ΉοΈHave you let your body and mind get some much needed rest and recovery?

While times have been tough as we navigate our way into the new normal, maybe you have found new habits and ways of doing things you want to continue going into the future.

Take the time to think about what you want, how you want to feel and how you want to live your life. This is the perfect opportunity to learn from your experiences and continue to grow.

Don't see this time as a step backwards, look at it as a new step in the right direction πŸ’•

πŸ’• Today ...
I will be present in every moment
I will learn and grow
I will acknowledge my self worth
I will believe in myself and my abilities
I will be true to myself and my values
I will keep an open mind and not judge
I will celebrate my small wins
I will not give up
I will love myself completely
I will be at ease
I will enjoy simple moments
Today, anything is possible 🌱

Over the weekend 3 of us girls went away to the Sunshine Coast for some lessons to learn how to surf πŸ„β€β™€οΈ Both of the girls are currently taking part in our 9 Week Challenge so instead of going out for your typical fish & chips, burgers, etc we did our groceries and cooked fresh (and delicious!) meals together. We were up early each morning for our surf lessons and spent the days doing lots of walking, swimming, exploring and of course relaxing in the sauna πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Don't think being on a challenge or tidying up your food means you can't be social and enjoy yourself - you just have to make smart choices!! Find like-minded friends and try something new, create tasty meals together, it's about making a lifestyle for yourself where you feel your absolute best πŸ€©πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

A Little About Me ...

Health and fitness has long been a great passion of mine, always finding new and exciting ways to not only challenge myself but broaden my knowledge. I found a love for obstacle races after completing my first Stampede with in 2012 and since then have run in a number of Tough Mudder’s as well as a half marathon.

Exercise for me is an important routine to keep my mind and body in good health. I include weight training, core strengthening exercises, boxing and HIIT to continually improve my strength and fitness. Outside of training I enjoy living an active lifestyle, you will often find me taking my dog for a run, heading out for a hike or just cruising around on my paddleboard.

After spending many years in office jobs, the decision to become a Personal Trainer has by far been my greatest yet. Being a Personal Trainer is much more than just instructing exercises, it allows you to have a positive impact on peoples lifestyles making it the most rewarding job. I am a firm believer in educating clients through exercise, a healthy balanced diet and having a positive mindset to create the life they desire. I am dedicated to promoting a positive body image by inspiring individuals to continually challenge themselves and empower them to exceed their goals.
