Claire's Cottage is a small, family operated NDIS Service provider supporting adults with Disability in Brisbane & surrounds.

We are passionate about developing our participants independence and quality of life by encouraging them to achieve their goals. Claire's Cottage is a small, family operated NDIS Service provider focused on developing life and social skills, promoting education, and independence for adults with disabilities. Our goal is to help assimilate our participants into the community so as to be seen as valued members of society. To achieve this, we focus on supporting the development of independent living and social skills, encouraging individual interests and promoting positive experiences throughout all of these endeavors. Participation and engagement withing the community is so important for people with disability as it creates positive experiences, improves self-esteem and self-confidence, builds friendships and networks, encourages independence and creates a sense of self-worth. Our services include:
🌻 Mon-Fri Life Skills Day Program (including independent living and social skills)
🌻Weekend Group Social & Community Activities
🌻1:1 In Home Support: Independent living skills (cooking meals, household chores, shopping etc.)
🌻1:1 Social support (safe outdoor venues or activities at home)
🌻 Short Term Respite Accommodation
🌻 Group Holidays
🌻Transport assistance
🌻Any other personalised supports that will help your family to get through this difficult time. We take great pride in our personal service: understanding the goals of our participants and how the lead to increased quality of life and independence. We support our participants on a day to day basis, working towards these goals, monitoring their progress and identifying the next steps required to achieve them. We continuously encourage, motivate, acknowledge and validate our participants in every aspect of engagement. They are partners in the service they receive and are consulted regarding all outcomes that affect them, encouraging decision-making and freedom of choice in all areas of their life.

Tuesday group brought their Easter designs to life, showcasing bonnets and baskets that were not only colourful but full of unique style and character. They look fantastic!

Friday Art group hopped into the Easter spirit with some creative basket making. Everyone designed and decorated their own baskets, bringing their artistic flair to life, the Easter Bunny even made an appearance.

Our Community Pantry needs your help 💛

We’re currently running low on essential items and are calling on our wonderful community for support. Donations of non-perishable food and everyday staples would be greatly appreciated to help those doing it tough.

Items in need include:
* Canned goods (vegetables, fruit, soup, tuna)
* Pasta, rice, and noodles
* Long-life milk
* Breakfast items (cereal, oats)
* Toiletries and basic hygiene products

Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Thank you for helping us support our community 🤝

The Tuesday group had an exciting day out attending the Queensland Museum Science Festival! 🚆🔬 From interactive displays to hands-on activities, there was plenty to explore, learn and enjoy! A fantastic outing with plenty of fun in an engaging environment. 🙌

The puns were flowing and green thumbs showing for Friday's art group! The group decorated their pots, chose their puns, and picked out their plants - all while having a great time together. It was a fun and light-hearted activity that left everyone smiling and with something special to take home.

We couldn't have asked for a better way to finish off the day than with a BBQ lunch, where everyone had the chance to practice their cooking skills and enjoy a meal together, it smelt amazing!

Thursday group warmed up their vocal cords and gave it their all on the mic at Karaoke. Karaoke is always one of the groups favourite activities and its not hard to see why! The day was filled with laughter, smiles and most important FUN!

Activities like Karaoke are a great way to build confidence, encourage self-expression, and strengthen social connections in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

Our Friday Art Group loved making their customised glasses so much at Christmas, they asked to do it all over again and we can see why! 🎨🥂Everyone got creative designing their own unique styles, and the results turned out absolutely fantastic!

Wednesday Group were very excited to kick off our 4-week Lego workshop with LEGO Master Anthony Coates. Everyone had a great time bringing their ideas to life with Anthony's help and expert guidance. We can't wait to see what everyone creates next week, so don't forget to watch this space! 😁🧱

🥁After such a fantastic first experience, our group returned to the Redcliffe Peninsula Drum Circle & Jammalong at Suttons Beach and it didn’t disappoint! The rhythm, energy, and welcoming atmosphere created the perfect space for everyone to connect, express themselves, and feel part of something bigger. It was wonderful to see our Thursday group engaging with the community, building confidence, and forming meaningful social connections through music.

We topped off the morning with a refreshing swim at the beach, followed by a classic fish & chips lunch by the water. ☀️😎

Yesterday we celebrated St Patrick’s Day in the best way possible with great music, plenty of laughs, and a delicious lunch at Finnigan’s Chin ☘️ Tuesday group enjoyed getting out into the community, sharing a meal together, and soaking up the festive atmosphere. Days like these are what it’s all about! Community inclusion, and creating memories together 💚

COVID-19 Update:

Claire's Cottage is committed to maintaining continuity of care throughout these challenging times. We are very aware of what our families are going through and are ready to step in and provide ANY additional support your family needs.

While we have suspended our day program and group social programs, we are still operating our 1:1 services, and have put together a fantastic digital social program that is quickly becoming popular.
