WeKare reached out to DV Safe and asked how we as a service can help.
DV gave us all the information we needed, and we got on board.
All our WeKare offices across Australia have one of their collection boxes.
If you or anyone you know have any old phones you aren't using or want to dispose of, just visit one of offices and our staff will be able to assist in showing you the drop box.
DV SAFE PHONE:
"For domestic violence (DV) victims, access to a safe phone can mean the difference between life and death. Perpetrators often use phones to control and monitor their victims, leaving them isolated and without a secure way to keep in contact with friends and family or seek help.
At DV Safe Phone, we give your old phone a new purpose by helping DV victims stay connected, stay safe, and move forward towards a brighter future. We collect, repurpose and gift mobile phones to domestic violence (DV) victims. These 'safe phones' are a vital link to emergency services, support networks, and loved ones.
Our goal is to get a safe phone into the hands of every Australian DV victim who needs one."
