In Australia, as of July 2025, individuals are eligible for the free National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) if they are aged 50–70, have no symptoms, and have a history of 30+ pack-years of smoking (or quit within the past 10 years). A GP referral is required for the low-dose CT scan.
