🧡 November is CRPS Awareness Month 🧡

Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a rare chronic pain condition that can cause severe, ongoing pain often following an injury or surgery. Those affected may experience symptoms that deeply impact their daily lives including, intense pain, skin sensitivity, swelling, sweating, changes in skin colour and temperature, and limb movement issues. Unfortunately there is no cure.

Early diagnosis and specialist treatment are key to effective management. More research is needed to better understand CRPS and develop new and improved treatment options.

Today, our team is wearing orange pins to support "Colour the World Orange for CRPS/RSD" Day.

This Hepatitis Awareness Week and World Hepatitis Day on July 28th, we're raising awareness of how important ongoing research is in the fight against viral hepatitis.

World Hepatitis Day serves as a powerful reminder of the need for timely screening and global action against viral hepatitis. By detecting hepatitis early, we can prevent life-threatening complications and break the chain of transmission. Remember, a simple blood test can be the first step towards protecting your liver health.

At Genesis Research Services , we work in collaboration with Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist Dr Lay Gan from Hunter Gastroenterology.

Dr Gan has a keen interest in liver disease research and is actively involved in clinical research, serving as a principal investigator for multiple clinical trials focusing on the liver.

The theme for 2025 'Let's Break it Down' allows us to address the facts of hepatitis and break down the barriers that are stopping people from accessing hepatitis services for testing, treating, and vaccination. For more information head to https://www.worldhepatitisday.org/

Through ongoing research, we are contributing to the development of new treatments, enhancing understanding of the disease, and improving prevention strategies.
