About Us
My Healthy Mind Psychology is a new Clinical Psychology practice in Newcastle, N.S.W, focusing on providing evidence based treatments for Adults. We have a particular interest in treating all types of Anxiety Disorders, including excessive worry, all types of OCD, social anxiety and panic attacks. Ashley is a warm and engaging Clinical Psychologist who has over 14 years experience working with adults in both Australia and the United Kingdom.He works collaboratively with clients and utilises evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-based treatments, Compassion Focused Therapy and Schema Therapy.
He attends regular professional workshops and keeps up to date with the latest innovations in treatment.Ashley has worked for over 5 years with the Counselling and Psychological Services at The University of Sydney and has extensive experience working in private practice. His experience includes working in a various mental health teams, a specialist Anxiety Disorders Unit, the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University, and a Gambling Treatment Clinic.
Ashley has completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Psychology at the University of Newcastle, a Masters of Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University, as well as specialist postgraduate training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the Royal Holloway, University of London. Ashley has undertaken extensive Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training and clinical supervision through the internationally regarded Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, which is affiliated with The University of Oxford.Ashley has full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Clinical Psychologist (Reg. #: PSY PSY0001189024), is a member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA), Anxiety Practitioners Network (APN) and the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT).
