Red Frog for Families is an allied health service, based in Newcastle, NSW. We support our families with a range of therapies including; Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Community Access, Behaviour Support, Allied Health Assistance, Assessments, Telehealth, Intensives and School Holiday Social Programs. Our multidisciplinary team of therapists work with people of all ages and disabilities, from paediatrics to adolescents and adults with developmental, behavioural and learning disabilities. Based in Broadmeadow, we provide services to local communities and surrounding areas including Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Belmont, Charlestown, Cardiff, Kotara, the Hunter Region and rural New South Wales.

🌟 Therapist Tip (School Holiday Edition)

As school holidays begin, let’s remember that time with our children is a gift. Instead of focusing only on keeping them busy or taking care of tasks for them, try shifting towards doing things with them.

This could mean baking together (and letting them get messy), joining them in a game of make-believe, or simply sitting down to draw side by side. When we do with our kids, we’re not just filling the hours—we’re strengthening bonds, building memories, and showing them that being together is what truly matters.

💡 This week’s challenge: Pick one activity you would normally do for your child—like tidying up their toys, preparing a snack, or planning a day out—and invite them to join you in the process. Notice how the experience changes when it becomes shared.
