Motivate Kids Motivate Kids provides tailored OT for your child to be supported to unlock their greatest potential. We walk you through this process step-by-step.

At Motivate Kids we know the thing you want most right now is a clear plan of where your child is at, the journey to come and an idea of the destination. You too will learn along the way so that you can more confidently understand your child, their therapy plan and implement it too. You will gain clarity and have that feeling of “I’ve got this.”

You need someone who keeps everyone on the same page so that home and school, or kindy / child care, pull together in a way to create a therapeutic life for your child. Nothing will be missed along the way. So imagine that feeling when you see your child succeed at things they’ve never done before. To see them happy and engaged and to see that their progress overflows out of therapy and into their daily lives. This is all held together by someone who specialises in “sensory integration” Occupational Therapy. Someone who is as passionate about your child as you are. Someone who will challenge them “just enough” to make progress that is worth celebrating. This someone has to be fun, uplifting and bursting with knowledge. It is important for you to feel heard, appreciated and empowered as you undertake this journey and to be surrounded by a community of like-minded people who have your back. These people have not walked in your shoes but they sure have had their own journey. We can learn from each other and realise, we are not alone. Its time to stop surviving and start thriving. 🌟 We’ve got big news! Guess who joined our team at Motivate Kids?!! We’re so excited to welcome Dr Kobie Boshoff as our Director or Therapy!

Kobie is known for her blend of clinical excellence, university teaching, research expertise and a genuine passion for developing the next generation of OT’s. She’s here to lead with a wealth of knowledge and a whole lot of heart, supporting our therapists, launching new initiatives for families and helping us keep growing in everything we do.

For our team (and for future OT’s looking to learn in an environment where mentoring is built into the culture) this is an incredible opportunity to be guided by one of the best in the field.

When temperatures rise, little bodies (and grown up bodies) can become extra tired and have extra sensitivities—and that’s completely normal.

On days like today, keeping things calm, cool, and predictable can really help:

Offer cool, water-rich snacks (frozen fruit, watermelon, yogurt pouches)

Keep playtime low-energy - it’s the perfect time to do some easy sensory play or quiet time in the shade.

Be flexible with routines and kind to yourself.

After a big day (and week!) at school, the transition home can feel overwhelming for many kids. Whether it’s the car ride home, unwinding after a busy day, or settling in for the night, a little extra comfort can go a long way. 🤍

Our weighted plush friends, Charlie the Puppy and Eleanor the Elephant, are designed to provide deep pressure input—similar to a firm hug—helping children feel calm, safe, and supported.

Weighted toys can:
• Help with post-school regulation
• Support self-soothing during car rides
• Promote relaxation and restful sleep
• Provide a comforting, familiar presence at home

Eleanor and Charlie also have lots of other friends here at Motivate Kids! Come and meet them in all our studios where you can also purchase one to take home with you!
