CAMHS is an acute mental health service that provides crisis response, mental health assessment and therapeutic services utilising a bio-psycho-social, developmental, recovery focused and family orientated framework to support children and young people from 0-18 years of age experiencing moderate to severe levels of symptomatology associated with various mental health concerns.
CAMHS have recently expanded the current service to include drug and alcohol assessment and intervention. CAMHS will complete a comprehensive screening and substance use assessment, ensure support, and provide brief psychotherapy and case coordination for young people in the community.
We believe in a 'no wrong door' approach - and will refer to less acute services when necessary, ensuring every child, young person, parent or carer is connected to the right support or service for their needs.
We provide equitable access across the Far West through in-person appointments at our sites, telehealth, outreach visits, and collaborative partnerships.
