Our Story

I am a nationally qualified counselor(ACA) and am also one of 2 therapists that is certified in Pet Loss and Bereavement with the (APLB) Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement.

After the loss of my 18 year old cattle dog, Lucy, I found that no one really understood what losing a heart pet was like , no one validated the feelings that I was having. Lucy was my rock and the one thing in my life that was a constant.She was the only being in my life that saw the real me, the unmasked version, so saying goodbye was devastating. Through losing her it then led me on the path to helping others understand the emotions and the roller coaster ride that occurs when you lose a beloved “heart” pet.

My philosophy is that when you gain an understanding of what emotions you are feeling and the stages of grief, it is only then that you are able to move forward and find peace.
