Itโ€™s the second day of the APNA - Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association Festival of Nursing conference in Brisbane! The National Allergy Council is here with Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia. We are having many engaging conversations with primary health care nurses who play an important role in caring for people with allergies. Visit our stand to learn more about our evidence-based best practice resources.

We ran an interactive education session yesterday on Navigating Allergies: A primary health care 101 guide. We used case-based learning to update participants about allergic conditions, recognition and treatment of severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), and management of food allergy.

Do you work in childrenโ€™s education and care (CEC)? Is your service allergy aware? ๐Ÿงฉ๐Ÿงก

An allergy aware approach is recommended in the National Allergy Councilโ€™s Best practice guidelines for anaphylaxis prevention and management in CEC. An allergy aware approach involves sharing information with everyone so they know what they can do to help keep children with allergies safe.
