While I may not be very active on social media I am still here in the background visiting some beautiful Broome families each week offering support, help around the home, advice on settling and sleep and enjoying lots of baby cuddles 🥰
I have also had lots of gift voucher purchases lately from family members interstate and overseas who can’t physically visit their loved ones but would like to support them from afar which is just amazing!
If you feel like you could use some extra support or would like to purchase a gift voucher please contact me for more information 🧡

Taking nominations for March 🧡

Do you know someone who could really use a hand while they are adjusting to life as a new Mum? Someone suffering silently with postnatal depression or anxiety without any family support? Or perhaps you yourself could use some additional support while recovering from birth or wrangling a toddler and newborn but can’t justify the cost?
I would like donate 2 hours of postnatal support each month to a new Mumma in Broome who could use some additional support and reassurance while navigating life with a new baby.
Please send me a DM with the name of the Mumma you would like to nominate (you are welcome to nominate yourself) and I will randomly select a recipient each month 🧡

Throw back to when our third babe was just a newborn and her brother was adjusting to life as the middle child 🤪
The saying “the days are long but the years are short” resonates with me so much, this photo was taken almost 2 years ago and it feels like it was just yesterday 🥺
Some days are HARD and it can seem like groundhog day (especially during wet season when it’s too hot to venture outside with a little baby) so where possible make sure you take some time for you, whether it’s something as simple as a shower alone, a bit of fresh air and exercise, eating a nourishing meal or catching up with a good friend - look after yourself Mumma’s 🧡

I have been busy in the kitchen this week trying out different ways I can incorporate Foraged For You] into my complementary postpartum snacks 😋 Taste tested by the kids who all approve 👍🏻
So far I’ve had success with adding the supplement to gelatin gummies and raw bliss balls, which elevates these postpartum snacks to another level as Foraged For You] contains such nutrient dense foods including organic fermented blend powder (red lentils, camu camu, broccoli, chlorella, spinach, pepitas, beetroot, molasses), organic beetroot juice powder, organic freeze dried grass fed and free range beef liver powder, & organic Atlantic kelp powder.

Sleep 💤 - it can become all consuming during the first few years of your babies life! Are they getting enough sleep? How many naps should they be having? Are they having too much or too little awake time? Why are they catnapping?! Are they too hot? Too cold? Are they going through a sleep regression? The list goes on….
Sleep consults don’t necessarily mean sleep training, it may be a discussion regarding awake windows, sleep hygiene, behaviours around sleep, finding a rhythm or routine to promote sleep etc. Of course for those parents who are interested in going down the sleep training path then there are options here that can be discussed.
Contact me for more information if you would like some help with your little ones sleep - infants through to 4 year olds 🧡

Pregnant Mummas - have you thought about planning for your postpartum?
There are many different things to think about which can help to support your physical and mental health during the postpartum period. Including:
•Selfcare (this can be a bit different for everyone)
•Sleep (will you try to nap when baby naps, how do you cope with sleep deprivation?)
• Visitors (limiting visitors, if someone asks if they can help with anything around the house don’t be afraid to say yes!)
• Partners role with baby’s routine
• Cooking, cleaning and everyday chores (who will take care of these while you are recovering from birth and bonding with your baby?)
• Support network (do you have friends and family that you can call upon for help? This can also include mothers groups and community health)
• Being mindful of your own mental health and knowing when to ask for help.

Postpartum planning is the first step to ensure you feel supported during this crucial time as a new Mum - get planning!

Nutra Organics Natural Gelatin is a pure, 100% natural gelatin powder derived from the bones and connective tissue of pasture-raised Australian cows. Containing 88% protein and with an extensive amino acid profile, including the essentials, it contributes to many important functions in the body, including digestive health, detoxification, the growth and maintenance of connective tissues, energy production, inflammation reduction and immunity - making it a fantastic food to consume during the postpartum period. and both stock products here in Broome 🤩
Natural Gelatin is tasteless and perfect for making these raspberry gelatin gummies.
Simply follow the instructions on the packed to bloom the gelatin in a saucepan (adding in an extra 1/2Tbsp for a firmer gummy). Then add in 250g of frozen raspberries and 1 Tbsp of honey. Stir on a low heat for 10 minutes to heat and dissolve the gelatin mixture but do not boil. Strain into an airtight container to remove seeds and then refrigerate until firm.
Another great treat to share with the kids, these never last long!

Another yummy treat to stash in the freezer! These Chocolate Nut butter bars will satisfy a sweet tooth or pregnancy craving 😋
Ingredients
•Nut Butter of choice (I used half almond half peanut butter)
• Honey
• Butter
• Organic puffed brown rice or rice bubbles
• chopped nuts (I used almonds)
• dark chocolate
I have made this numerous times now and don’t bother measuring out quantities but as a guide - Roughly add to a pot 3/4 cup nut butter, 1/4 cup butter and a drizzle of honey. Stir on a low heat until melted. Remove from heat and add in a handful of dark chocolate chips. Once melted add in a handful of chopped nuts and approx 1-2 cups of puffed brown rice. All ingredients should be well coated. Spread into an airtight container and freeze. Once set cut into bit sized pieces and enjoy! Store in the freezer… it never lasts long

I had some photos of my kids taken yesterday by the amazing and at the end of the session Abby insisted I get a photo with the kids - initially I said no thanks I’m all sweaty, my hair is a mess and I wasn’t planning on being in the photos! But Abby said it is one of her rules for Mum’s to have a photo with their kids 🥰 And I’m so glad I did - the kids won’t care about how I look and in years to come I hope they’ll treasure a photo with their Mum 🧡
