Good afternoon Broome and surrounding areas
In recent weeks, our team has been busy supporting staff in our KCCP Kununurra office.
While they were there, staff attended and participated in several community events including R U OK day, where staff members Bee and Jason partnered with Anglicare to run a stall providing muffins and conversation to members of the community.
Jason also spoke to community members recently as part of KCCP Kununurra’s relapse prevention program about managing their recovery from alcohol and other drugs and providing them with the tools, education and ongoing accountability to prevent relapse occurring.

Lastly, our CEO Andrew Amor and Clinical Services Manager Krishna Latchman attended the opening of the new Kimberley Withdrawal and Intervention centre which will be run by the Wunun Foundation under the leadership of medical director Stephanie Trust. This facility, which is the first Aboriginal community controlled organization in WA will help people in the East Kimberley to detox from alcohol and other drugs in a holistic and culturally appropriate place and prepare them for the next step in their recovery.
Our staff are now home having a well-deserved rest.
We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Good afternoon Broome and surrounding areas

Our clients have once again been hard at work for the past couple of weeks putting the finishing touches to our greenhouse and making our garden wet season ready.

A big thank you to the Horticulture lecturers from North Regional Tafe for providing our clients with the knowledge and skills to create and maintain gardens within their communities.
