NEW TEAM MEMBER ALERT 👤

Another busy week here at KTS! We are excited to introduce you to our newest team member, Megan. She is a Support Coordinator and has joined our KTS Support Coordination Team!

We are excited to welcome her to our team and look forward to seeing her support and guide her participants!

Today on our last day of our Kimberley Trip we visited to deliver our Inclusive Education presentation. We were joined by 4 wonderful staff (who were so super busy we forgot to get a pic before they had to run off to their next classes).
We then visited the Coolibah Centre where we were joined by 4 staff from to present our Medical and Allied Health presentation.
Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality and for showing such commitment and willingness to learn for our DSWA members.

Thank you to for the Grant that has made this weeks trip possible. It has been a truly rewarding week.

Last week, our amazing admin guru Indi graduated from Broome Senior High School and absolutely shone! 🎓💫

She received both the Broome SHS Writers Award and the Professor Fiona Stanley Leadership Award — presented by Professor Fiona Stanley herself! 🌟

We are so incredibly proud of you, Indi, and can’t wait to see what your future holds. (Though we’re secretly hoping you’ll return to Broome as a clinician one day 👀).

✨ A heartfelt thank you to our incredible Social Work student from Edith Cowan University (ECU), Tess, for her dedication, professionalism, and compassion throughout her 13-week placement with us. Tess consistently brought a strengths-based, empowerment-focused approach to her work — fostering dignity, autonomy, and inclusion for every participant she supported. 🌟

A highlight of her placement was joining our recent Fitzroy Crossing outreach trip, where she played a key role in delivering a powered wheelchair — helping enhance accessibility and independence for one of our participants. Tess brought warmth, integrity, and a thoughtful presence to every interaction. 🙌🙌

It’s been a privilege to be part of her professional journey, and we know she’ll make an incredible social worker! 🩵
