We’re looking for a Student Placement Coordinator based in Kununurra.

Help support allied health students on placement, build relationships with local services and be part of strengthening the remote health workforce in the East Kimberley.

Our exercise group was created to support community members with falls prevention through movement, balance work, and lower-body strength. It’s also a space for general wellbeing support, connection, and social engagement.
 
The program is delivered at the Broome campus by our physiotherapy students and supervised by our Physiotherapy Clinical Educator, Negin. Always a great energy in the class, our students and participants love a bit of healthy competition.

This week we welcomed three Stage 2 nursing students completing their aged care placements in Broome and Derby. Over the next four weeks they’ll be based at Germanus Kent and Juniper as they build their skills and learn more about aged care in the Kimberley.

We kicked things off with a town tour and a visit to Gantheaume Point, and a day of cultural training. They’re excited to immerse themselves in the community and make the most of their time in the Kimberley.
