After 26 years of working with women, I’ve learned that one of the biggest threats to vitality isn’t hormones or stress, it’s losing the sense that you matter.
In my work at Vitality Clinic, “mattering” is one of the most profound, and often overlooked , aspects of health.
It belongs to two of the Seven Pillars of the Vitality Protocol:
🧠 How you think, the stories you tell yourself about your worth.
🤝 How you connect, the meaningful ways you share that worth with others.
When you start to matter to yourself, everything shifts.
You nourish your body differently. You protect your sleep. You move your body in honour of its strength. You think and connect in ways that bring you back to your vitality and vibrancy.
The research shows that when we “tend and befriend”, when we connect, ask for help, and let ourselves be supported, we actually build resilience, oxytocin, and a deeper sense of mattering.
You only need about an hour a week with other women outside of home to feel the benefits. Just one hour of connection that reminds you: you matter.
