Yesterday we say goodbye to Merilyn, our beloved pathology lady/ taker of bodily fluids / vampire/ Phebotomist 🩸 🧪🧫🧬�Merilyn has been an integral part of the Coastal team for 16 incredible years, bringing skill, knowledge, training, dedication, and warmth to every patient and colleague she’s met along the way.
Merilyn has been with the CFH team through the lot, renovations, covid, Christmas parties, more room swaps than we can count, 5 pathology companies and a move. Her husband George also being our resident handy man for many years.
All to help our team and practice grow!
Thank you, Merilyn, for your years of hard work, laughter, and care – you will be deeply missed, and we wish you all the best in your next chapter, enjoy a very well deserved retirement🌟👠🚐

Our practice will be closed this Friday 6th March, and will be closing slightly earlier on Thursday 5th of March as Cyclone Alfred is expected to make landfall. Safety for our team and patients is our number one priority.

After the cyclone passes, we will be adding extra availability to help patients get access to a doctor, and if you need to get in contact with us after hours, please use the facebook messenger service on our page.
We will endeavour to attend to anything urgent as we are able.

We are watching the unfolding cyclone situation very closely. Safety for our team & patients is our highest priority and we are preparing for possible practice closures on Thursday & Friday this week as/if the cyclone hits our shore. If you have a non-urgent appointment please consider moving it to the next week or so. We will advise patients on facebook, google, our website & via SMS if we are forced to close.

We will be looking to add extra availability to make up appointments with extra services once the cyclone has passed.

In the meantime watch this space for updates, and please stay safe.

Coastal Family Health opened its doors in 2003 with a focus on health for the whole family particularly children. We have a large team of highly experienced male & female doctors and nurses who offer a wide range of services and expertise to provide the best healthcare possible to our patients.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality medical care to our patients for all levels of their health. Come and see one of our excellent doctors and see why we are one of the Sunshine Coast's longest established medical centres.

Our objective is to help people improve their health, well being and enjoyment of life. It is our primary focus that you receive excellent medical care, with very low wait times.

We are a private billing practice, offering a discount rate for Healthcare & Pension card holders. Children under 16, over 65 year pension, NCACCH & DVA card holders are bulk-billed.
