Here’s something that may be a bit to get your head around.

The trampoline was just the catalyst.

Think of it like a dam. The water had been building long before the wall gave way. The physical impact was just the thing that finally broke through it.

To the nervous system, physical and emotional stress get stored in the same place.

It doesn’t distinguish between the two. Every unprocessed experience, every swallowed emotion, it all gets held in the tissue.

The body keeps the score whether we’re aware of it or not.

Sometimes the body needs a physical pathway for what the nervous system has been holding.

Can you spot what areas are showing up for me today?

I offer online sessions worldwide and you don’t need a table like me for an online session. Most use their bed or a mat or blanket on the floor.

You’ll need:
• a computer or phone
• a quiet place to lie down
• ideally headphones or speaker for better sound quality but this is optional.
• come with an open heat and open mind

My two sons and I went for a walk this afternoon and my youngest was adamant that he wanted to go a different way and he flat out refused to keep moving.

So we just waited with him. He was feeling a bit emotional.

And then his big brother turned to him and said:

“when I hold back my tears I get this yucky feeling in my throat… like something’s stuck in it.”

I asked him, “what does it feel like?”

He said “I don’t know… a rock… a lump?”

I asked him, “how do you think you get rid of that?

He said 🤷‍♀️ “I guess, crying.”

I said, “what do you think happens if you don’t cry?”

He said, “it gets stuck in your body.”

I said, “how do you think that comes out?”

He said 🤷‍♀️ “I don’t know… guess, maybe crying later?”

He’s seven.

So many of us are carrying the weight of trying to parent differently to how we were parented. Doing it differently. Breaking cycles we didn’t choose.

Moments like this one remind me that sometimes we’re getting it more right than we think.

You learned early which emotions were welcome and which ones needed to stay hidden.

Not because something was wrong with you, but because the people around you couldn’t handle the full range of who you were.

People can only meet you as deeply as they can meet themselves.

So many of us got really good at suppressing it and getting on with it.

But that energy doesn’t just disappear. It has to go somewhere.

And it goes into the body, showing up as tension, anxiety, numbness, or a nervous system that’s constantly bracing.

I help people come back to who they are underneath all those layers of conditioning. Building capacity to move through what is ready to be felt.

Everything we suppress, deny or simply don’t have the time and space to process… it doesn’t just disappear. It gets stored in the body.

Think about the last time you felt sadness coming up and swallowed it back down. You feel that lump in your throat. The tears you held back because it wasn’t the right time or place. Where does that energy go???

The body is incredibly wise. It will only process what it feels safe enough to face. And it does this in its own time, in its own way. But eventually that energy has to go somewhere… and sometimes it shows up as tension, pain or discomfort.

This work is about giving your body the time, space and safety to process what it’s been carrying. To help the nervous system reorganise and access more energy and information so it can function from a higher level.

Sometimes that happens on the table. Sometimes it happens days later. Sometimes there’s an emotional release. Sometimes there isn’t. That is not the goal.

The goal is simply to meet your body where it’s at and what it’s ready for.

There are many reasons we can feel exhausted and it’s always worth ruling out anything medical first.

But in my experience, a lot of chronic exhaustion comes back to one thing. A nervous system that has been pushed beyond its capacity for too long.

We live in a world that glorifies the hustle and rarely gives us permission to slow down. And so we override. We suppress. We push through. And our nervous system keeps the score.

If you’ve had your bloods done, you’re sleeping okay, you’re doing all the “right” things and you’re still exhausted, it might be worth looking at what your nervous system has been carrying.

Nothing is forced. I am just guiding her through the process.

You and your body will decide what pace is right for YOU.

The depth of a clients experience on the table really depends on the level of willingness to let go.

For many this will take a number of sessions as we focus on safety and connection.

The body isn’t going to soften and open up until it feels SAFE!

Through life experiences and trauma our heart space generally develops coping mechanisms to prevent being hurt again. Many of us go to a ‘protected heart’ state.

But this is the thing.... when we “protect” our heart space we make it harder for ourselves to connect deeply with ourselves and with the world and those around us.

Coming home to your body is not something that can be rushed, but it has to be decided and chosen.

By opening up your heart space you can invite more love, gratitude and happiness into your heart again.

Deepen the connection with yourself and your relationship with others and as Rumi says 👇👇

Most people try to think their way out of how they feel.

But from my experience, this isn’t the best way to move through things. Healing starts in the body, not the head.

If you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and tired of talking about it without anything shifting, start here…

1️⃣ Build awareness of what’s actually happening in your body

Not what you’re thinking. What do you actually feel? Tightness? Heaviness? Numbness? When we can notice what’s there, we can learn how to support it. This is where the work begins.

2️⃣ Slow your exhale down

When you’re spiralling or feeling overwhelmed, don’t just stop and take a deep breath. Breathe out slowly. A longer exhale tells your nervous system you’re safe. Do it multiple times. Better paired with movement.

3️⃣ Shake it out or go for a walk

When you’ve held in too much there is energy that needs to move. Your body needs to discharge it. Shake your arms, stomp your feet, go for a walk, cry it out. Let it move through you. Works every time.

4️⃣ Come back to your senses

Look around the room. Say out loud what you see, hear, smell, feel, taste. This pulls you out of your head and back into your body. Do it while cooking, driving, walking. Rewire the loop.

5️⃣ Let your body complete the cycle

Most of us start to feel something and immediately shut it down. Maybe we just don’t have the time and space. We tense up but never release. Start to cry but stop ourselves. Feel frustration but internalise it. This built up energy doesn’t just disappear. Let it finish. Completion builds capacity.
