Looking after your feet starts with simple daily foot health checks.  I you have diabetes please do the following:
1. Check top, soles and sides of both feet.
2. Check between the toes looks for moisture, cracks peeling skin.
3. Check the toenails for discolouration, thickening, signs of infection redness or puss.
4. Check for skin temperature changes from one area to another.
5. Check for changes in skin colour
6. Look for any signs of infection redness, warmth, swelling or pain.
7. Footwear: check inside for sand, stones or foreign objects to prevent any friction or rubbing, check for broken seams and wearing out.  flip shoe over and check underneath that the sole hasn’t collapsed in any areas.
