Time is almost up. But Lungscreen helps workers—and their employers—breathe easier.

September 1 is just around the corner. That signals the end of the grace period for the mineral mine and quarry (MMQ) industry to comply with the mandatory respiratory health screenings for all workers.

Lungscreen is here to help you get compliant. We’re the only provider able to supply double blind International Labour Organization (ILO) reports that are adjudicated based on National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) standards. This is a requirement under the Queensland Government’s QGLO4 regulations.

Silicosis is a growing issue within the MMQ industry, and we’re all responsible for protecting the health of MMQ workers. Early discovery and intervention are the keys to success. Now is the time to act.

Ensure you’re compliant by September 1 and insist on partnering with Lungscreen to meet your legal requirements.

When you have your workers screened, you can trust Lungscreen to do it right.

From September 1, 2022, it will be mandatory for all Queensland workers in the mineral mine and quarry (MMQ) industry to have regular respiratory health screenings.

The regulations require a double blind International Labour Organization (ILO) report with adjudication based on National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) standards.

Not all screening providers are qualified to do the correct reporting, but Lungscreen is. You can trust us to help you stay compliant and properly protect the health of your workers.

Lungscreen is here to help you stay within the law. Just as importantly, we might just help you save lives.

To learn more about why insisting on Lungscreen is the right decision, call 07 5376 3333 or email screenmyworkers@lungscreen.com.

You want to do right by your workers. We want to help you do that.

Queensland legislation is mandating that all mineral mine and quarry workers receive regular lung health checks to identify early signs of occupational lung diseases, like silicosis.

When it comes to the health of your workers, we don’t compromise.

Lungscreen provides the only double-blind ILO B-read with adjudication that meets international standards. We follow NIOSH guidelines in ILO reporting and our reports comply with QGLO4 standards.

What does all of this mean for your workers?

It means absolute confidence and peace of mind that everything is done to the highest international standards to ensure your workers are screened adequately and their lungs are safe.

Make sure your workers are all correctly screened before the new regulations are enforced in Queensland on 1 September 2022.

For more information about booking your workers for their screening, email Lungscreen on screenmyworkers@lungscreen.com or visit https://lungscreen.com/services/occupational-lung-disease.

As of 1 September 2020, “senior executives are required to arrange respiratory health surveillance for workers prior to beginning work in the mineral mine and quarry industry and then at least every 5 years” (business.qld.gov.au). The changes to the Mining and Quarry Safety and Health Regulation 2017 ensures that mineral, mine and quarry (MMQ) workers will undergo the same respiratory surveillance as Queensland coal miners.
