"😌Rest days exist so that we can give our mind and body the relief and rest they need to recover from the previous few hectic days.
They are an important part of any exercise regime and are taken so that our muscles can recover from any damage sustained during vigorous exercise sessions.
However, even rest days can be productive and utilized healthily. We've listed down some things you can do on rest days where you won't overexert yourself, yet feel accomplished!
✔️Do a little light exercise, nothing that feels too intense so maybe go for a walk or d a quick 10 minutes workout session.
✔️Make sure to eat and to eat healthily. There are lots of healthy carbs out there that you can consume, it's fine to treat yourself at times so it is okay, eat smartly - don't starve yourself!
✔️Protein is essential when it comes to eating healthier, for weight maintenance, muscle gain and so much more! Make yourself a nice steak or maybe some delicious grilled fish.
✔️Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and fresh.
✔️Stretch for 10 or 15 mins, maybe squeeze in a nice yoga session. This won't over-exert your muscles, give them a nice stretch and help you feel recharged!
🥰️Try any of these things on your rest days, and even if you don't do anything at all - it's okay. Just breathe, relax, count your blessing, and remember - it's just a day. Tomorrow is a new beginning and a new chance to work on bettering yourself - you've got this!
