š§ Ask Better Questions. Get Better Results.
If youāre working with women in peri or post-menopause, itās time to level up your conversations. Hereās why:
š¤ Not asking about menopause symptoms or hormones?āØYouāre potentially missing a huge piece of the puzzle. These things affect energy, recovery, motivationāand your clientās ability to show up. Learn how to ask in a way that feels normal, not nosy.
š«£Avoiding the pelvic floor chat?āØIt might feel awkward, but itās essential. You canāt safely program high-impact training or heavy lifting without knowing whatās going on down there. Asking doesnāt have to be clinicalāit can be part of a normal intake convo.
š¤·āāļøDonāt ask what youāre not ready to work with.āØIf your pre-screening form asks about joint pain or flexibility, make sure you actually know what to do with that info. Otherwise, itās just noise.
š¬ I was chatting to a THRIVE course grad recently about the importance of understanding joint range of motionālike hamstring flexibilityāto better progress clients, prevent injury, and actually solve problems.
š Itās not about asking more questions. Itās about asking the right onesāand knowing what to do next.
