“Silence is golden.”
Or so they say…

In menopause, silence can be costly.

For the past few years, I’ve been working in menopause fitness and health education, and one thing I keep coming back to is this 👉 the silent symptoms of menopause.

The ones you don’t feel, see, or even realise are happening…
until they start impacting your health and your life.

✨ The top 3 silent symptoms & increased health risks many women face during menopause:

1️⃣ Bone loss (osteopenia & osteoporosis)
According to the International Osteoporosis Foundation, 1 in 3 women over 50 will experience an osteoporotic fracture.

2️⃣ Cardiovascular disease
One of the leading causes of death worldwide, and the second highest cause of death for women in Australia.

3️⃣ Mood changes, anxiety & depression
Often overlooked or dismissed, these symptoms are frequently linked to menopause, even if menopause rage 😤 is anything but silent.
(IYKYK 😉)

The good news?
👉 Awareness comes first.
👉 Prevention and support can make a huge difference.

Please don’t suffer in silence - whether your symptoms are loud, quiet, or somewhere in between. Talking helps, and support matters.

If you’d like to learn more about menopause, the silent symptoms, and how to support your body and mind through this stage of life, I’d love to welcome you into my free online community.

💬 It’s for:
• Women wanting to understand their own menopause journey
• Fitness professionals working with female clients aged 35+

A space to learn, share, and feel supported -
where no one has to suffer in silence.

Lost in translation? 🤔

When it comes to pelvic floor activation, language matters.

Clear communication between clients and their coaches/instructors is everything.

Today in an online membership class, a new member shared that when I described the pelvic floor as an “elevator gently lifting,” it finally clicked.
She’s done plenty of Pilates before, she’d just never heard it explained that way.

After 23+ years of working with bodies, I’ve learned this truth:
If a movement isn’t landing, it’s rarely a client problem.
It’s usually a language problem.

Good cueing is really about translation - trying different images and explanations until the body understands.

And here’s the important part:
👉 This is a skill that improves with experience.

If you’re newer to the fitness industry:
• Go to classes
• Listen to how others cue
• Notice what lands for you
• Then test those cues with your clients

One fitness professional in my membership recently told me she replays my class videos not just to train, but to collect cues and exercise ideas she can use with her own clients.

Inside the Menopause Health Hub online membership, I help fitness professionals sharpen their cueing skills, especially because when you teach online, your verbal communication becomes crucial.

That’s why I teach movement through multiple lenses:
anatomy, physiology, therapy, function - not just fitness cues.

Because one explanation never works for everyone.
But with the right language, the body always understands. ✨

School’s back… and I’m feeling both grateful and grounded.

And for the first time in a long time, I actually have a plan for the first quarter - one that 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 involve doing everything at once.

That surprised me.

I usually come barrelling into the New Year with a very long list of “now I finally have time” tasks once the summer holidays end.

The holidays were wonderful…
and also a very real reminder of how hard it is to juggle work and kids when they’re home for seven weeks.

A few years ago, I learned the hard way that trying to “𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬” over the Christmas/summer school holidays doesn’t work for me.

I don’t fully focus on my business or my family, and everything ends up feeling a bit half-assed.

So this year (and last year), I did it differently.

I took four weeks completely off, including three weeks in NZ.
No laptop.
No squeezing things in.
No pretending I was “kind of working”.

And what surprised me most?

That space gave me time to think, reflect and get clarity in a way I never do when I’m dipping in and out of work.

It’s why I now deliberately plan my courses, workshops and programs around our family holidays - not the other way around.

And why I’ve put structures in place so there’s recurring monthly income still coming in, even when I step away.

That’s completely new for me.
I’ve always been paid an hourly rate, as so many in the health and fitness industry are.

I never imagined I’d be in a position to teach other fitness professionals how to do this too… yet here I am.

Sometimes, stepping away is the most productive thing you can do.

Menopause fitness and health education should go beyond exercise.

In our Meno Fit membership online class today we talked all things fibre- not hugely glamorous but a real conversation about real issues that can come up in menopause.

Because I like to keep it real, and in real time.

If you want to learn more about menopause health and fitness then you can jump into my free online community-now open to fitness & pilates professionals AND women in menopause/interested in learning more.

And if you want to implement instead of just learn, then you should consider my online or in person menopause course.

Because taking education into real life = real results

DM me for details on all of the above!

A new year, and a new focus.

With a growing community of both fitness professionals and women having completed my menopause courses, the feedback I’ve been getting is around ongoing support, connection and accountability .

As uncomfortable as it was for me to consider what that might look like, (if you know me, you know I love flexibility, freedom and independence), I’m delighted to announce the start of the Menopause Health Hub membership program.

The membership offers weekly LIVE online Meno Fit classes for my menopause course participants (both fitness professionals doing the THRIVE course and women in menopause doing the 6° of connection course, coming together in a dual ecosystem).

One place to connect, enjoy a community, continue with their menopause education & fitness and provides accountability, support and fun.

All details on courses and the membership can be found at bodymindbones.com or reach out and connect with me personally to learn more.

Taking a holiday often makes me feel uneasy about not getting my regular exercise program done.

Having said that, getting my steps done in beautiful surroundings, doing my basic functional strength and cardio outside with no need for equipment and doing my bone density building exercises in nature has been a joy.

NZ has provided the perfect backdrop for my exercise playground and it’s been great for body mind and soul.

It’s also been a holiday where I have truly relaxed, recharged and realigned with what my year ahead will look like, and I’m excited to make it a reality.

Menopause fitness education meets community, collaboration and expansion in 2026.

As the New Year begins, here’s your gentle reminder:
✨ It’s okay if January feels slow.
✨ It’s okay if you’re not “back into it” yet.

Here in Australia, it’s school summer holidays, and I intentionally take at least a month off from business every year. Running a business whilst kids are home full-time is no small task, and more importantly, I want to enjoy this time with them… while they still want to spend time with me.

For me, the New Year doesn’t really begin in January.
It starts in February, when the kids are back at school and routines return.

So if your year feels like it’s easing in slowly, you’re not behind. You’re allowed to rest. You’re allowed to reset. You’re allowed to start when it makes sense for your life.

And when I do return fully, there’s lots to look forward to in 2026:
🎙️ a brand-new podcast
💻 a new online membership with 𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 for course participants
📍 in-person masterclasses
🖥️ online masterclasses

If you’d like to be the first to hear about all upcoming courses and masterclasses, head to my website and join the waitlist.

Wishing you a happy, healthy, and gentle start to the New Year. ✨

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone. My NZ Story.

New Zealand will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s where I stepped into my career as a brand-new clinical therapist… with absolutely no idea what I was doing. 😅

My first job was in a sports medicine clinic in Christchurch. I was terrified, completely out of my depth, and learning at lightning speed.
In the first six months, I had:

• worked with the NZ U21 cricket team
• delivered my first ever presentation (on self-massage… to a room full of U21 males 😳😂 You can imagine the chaos, and my deep discomfort!)
• launched a brand-new massage clinic inside a local gym
• figured out bookings, payments, systems, and business, on the fly
• and learned more about resilience and uncomfortable growth than any textbook could ever teach me

Most people spread those experiences over six years. I lived them in six months, because I was scared, but willing.

And honestly? That one decision to step into something uncomfortable has shaped every opportunity since.

In our industry, the people who grow are the people who get uncomfortable.
The ones who try. Who fail forward.
Who step into rooms long before they ever feel “ready.”

As we wrap up the year, here’s your gentle nudge:

What would 2026 look like if you backed yourself just a little more?
What if discomfort was actually the doorway?

If you know 2026 is your year to grow in the menopause/women’s health space, keep an eye out. I’ve got new masterclasses, training dates, and opportunities coming your way soon.
