Join us in the pool 💦

Water-based exercise is an effective workout for all fitness levels. The buoyancy of the water reduces joint impact, providing a low-impact alternative without compromising on the intensity. This makes it an ideal choice for those managing conditions like arthritis, joint pain, or recovering from injury, allowing you to stay active and maintain strength

February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 🩵

A diagnosis of ovarian cancer makes exercise an important part of care before, during, and after treatment. Whilst there is limited evidence specific to ovarian cancer and exercise, we can apply insights from other cancer studies.

Before treatment, exercise helps reduce treatment-related complications and improves recovery after surgery.

During treatment, it can alleviate the severity, duration, and number of side effects.

After treatment, exercise supports faster recovery, reduces risk of long-term side effects, and lowers the risk of cancer recurrence and new cancer development. It also reduces the risk of secondary chronic conditions such as obesity, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.

Contact our friendly team on 07 5441 3850 to learn more about how we can support someone going through ovarian cancer.
