The NDIS is saying that apparently providers are overservicing children with 'mild to moderate' Autism. The way both sides of Government are laying the blowout of the NDIS on the Autistic community and the clinicians that support them is literally sickening. While changes need to occur, and practitioners do need to start focusing more on empowering parents to be they key interventionist, I'm very concerned that if the Government dont show real leadership here, and we don't end up with a system that meets needs, then these Autistic children are going to go without.

Children with mild to moderate autism or developmental delay will be diverted into a new program dubbed “Thriving Kids” as the government seeks to rein in the rapidly exploding NDIS segment.

So for those who have been following along, you know we have been working hard to get into the childcare industry to get some change happening! We absolutely love our Meadow Lane Early Learning Buderim and our wonderful team/family there! We are excited to announce that in August 2025 we will be opening Meadow Lane Early Learning Maroochydore!! This centre will build on our current values of being child centred, developmentally focussed and inclusive! Yes we will be offering both traditional early learning and also comprehensive ESDM based early intervention powered by Kindred Kids Early Intervention!
