1. You can suffer a concussion without loss of consciousness.
2. Any one symptom after a head knock can indicate concussion.
3. Degree of impact does not equal symptom severity.
4. The single most important factor influencing speed of recovery is education from appropriately trained clinicians.
5. If symptoms persist for longer than 5 days, please seek an assessment from a trained physiotherapist.
6. The most common cause of dizziness post concussion is BPPV. BPPV can often be treated in 1-3 sessions by a vestibular physiotherapist. 7. Headache, dizziness, nausea, visual sensitivities, deconditioning, balance impairments can be suffered post concussion. All can be addressed by an advanced trained physiotherapist.
