Something big is building in Norman Park... 🏗️✨

After seven years of wonderful memories in Bulimba, Scope Psychology is officially relocating! We are thrilled to share that we’ve secured a new, larger space in Norman Park to house our team of 16 practitioners and our dedicated support staff. 💚

As practitioners with extensive experience in neurodevelopmental assessments and therapy, we know how important the physical environment is for our clients. That’s why we’re currently mid-demolition (scroll to see the ‘raw’ phase!), custom-building a clinic that prioritises comfort, privacy, and accessibility.

📍 Where exactly? We’re keeping the exact street address under wraps until 2nd February.
🔑 When do we open? Mid-February.

If you have an appointment scheduled for late February onwards, our Client Support team will be in touch soon to provide all the travel and parking details you’ll need for your first visit to the new space.

We’re excited to announce that Scope is establishing an ND Advisory Board. The goal of this initiative is to ensure our services are guided by the community we serve.

We believe in the principle of "Nothing About Us Without Us" and regularly consult individuals with a diverse range of neurodivergent lived experiences to provide advice and feedback on Scope's services, resources, and communications.

We want these insights to directly shape how we operate and help us better meet the needs of our clients and the broader neurodivergent community.

We're so happy to give a warm welcome to our newest team member, Bella Kinimaka!

Bella is a counsellor who works with school-aged children and adolescents (including high risk clients) to help them navigate challenges related to stress, anxiety, relationships, identity and trauma. She helps neurodivergent clients to embrace their unique strengths and perspectives, and assists NDIS clients in improving their daily living skills.

Bella currently has availability for therapy on Friday in our Kin Kin clinic or online.

About Us

Scope Clinical & Educational Services (SCAES) is a psychology and wellbeing clinic located on Oxford Street in Bulimba (right next to the Bulimba ferry terminal). SCAES provides support for people of all ages to achieve their personal, educational and professional goals.

Our Story

SCAES was established in 2015 by Director, Danielle Copplin. Her vision was to provide high-quality wellbeing and educational services to empower individuals and families across the lifespan. After completing her Master degree in psychology, Danielle engaged in professional supervision with experienced and renowned educational and developmental psychologist, Kathryn Bekavac. The continuity between their professional practice, values and ethics quickly became clear and a professional partnership was born.

In 2018, Kathryn was welcomed as a co-director of Scope Clinical & Educational Services. Together, Danielle and Kathryn developed a set of unique services that provide simple steps to create real change. This means that each service is structured around achieving clients personal, educational and professional goals. We focus on building practical solutions in partnership with our clients, using a combination of evidence-based assessment, strategy and review.

In January 2019, they moved the clinic to Oxford Street, Bulimba. In a beautiful old house, they’ve successfully created a supportive and courageous space designed to make health and wellbeing simple.

In January 2020, SCAES opened a wellbeing store with unique, locally sourced wellbeing products and a wide range of helpful books written by qualified and scientifically supported authors.
