The pelvic region (hips) forms the foundation of the body. When the hips are imbalanced, the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine may become misaligned. This imbalance also affects the knees, ankles, and feet, leading to torque, tension, and sometimes pain.
Think of the body as a house. A builder spends significant time creating a strong foundation—this represents the hips. The ground floor corresponds to the knees, ankles, and feet, while the upper floors represent the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spine, as well as the head.
Once the frame is built, the builder installs electricity, plumbing, concrete, and finishes such as paint. These systems are comparable to the body’s arteries, veins, hormones, nerves, internal organs, and skin.
However, if the foundation is unstable, the entire frame becomes weak and distorted. Excessive pressure is placed on certain areas, much like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Similarly, when the foundation of the human body is unstable, it can negatively affect not only the musculoskeletal system but also the nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems.
Therefore, correcting the foundation is essential not only for proper musculoskeletal function but also for the health of all other body systems.
