I took myself to the forest
To let my soul bleed
To be nurtured by her waters
The wind through her trees

The trees taught me the importance
Of letting things go
To surrender dead leaves
So new ones may grow

‘Be gentle’ whispered the waters
‘Flow with the stream,
There’s so much for you to experience,
Things found only in your dreams’

Glossy blacks sing from high
Keeping watch of those below.
‘Don’t fear for rain is coming,
It shall make your flowers grow’.

And from deep below the surface
The bones of our mothers lay
Spirits of our ancestors
Urging us to play

I took myself to the forest,
And bleed my soul did.
Heart cracked wide open
Here in peace, I may sit.

There is a magnificent freedom in Nature; no frontier could frame her infinity.

There is a natural wildness in the Earth. Places where the Ocean praises the steady shore in a continual hymn of wave. There are fresh, cold streams pouring through the mountain corners which have a rhythm that never anticipated the gaze f a human eye.

Animals never interfere with the wildness of the Earth. They attune themselves to the longing of the Earth and move within it as if it were a home rhythm. Animals have no distance from the Earth. They have no plan or programme in relation t it. They live naturally within its landscapes, always present completely where they are.

We are nature. We are the animals.

Learn to dance with her rhythms and learn from her cycles 🦋🧚🏽🪐

ostara 🦋 the beauty of the in-between cycle, the equinox

Emerging from the nourishing womb of winter,
Day and night now sit balanced.
Two polarities finding a moment of stillness, of equinox,
In a dance that is everlasting. The dance of the seasons. The wheel of the year.

Celebrating Ostara, the spring equinox,
We honour the awakening of the Earth after a long winter.
A time of growth and life,
Of new beginnings and fertility.

The cold winds have shifted and the days begin to warm.
The buds of Miwa Gawaian, the Waratah, begin to swell and redden,
As gentle rains fall and the flowers bloom with sweet, sweet nectar.

We welcome the time of Ngoonungi (the flying fox).
As the sun sinks below the horizon and dusk falls,
vast camps of the Ngoonungi colour the skies.
Letting us know that it is now time to celebrate,
To sit in ceremony and to honour the abundance and balance this new energy brings.

Finding balance and harmony in between the highs and lows of the cycle,
From now on, our energy begins to flow outwards.
The masculine rises,
shifting from the deep feminine energies of winter.

From rest comes life,
This rest brought life

to flow, to feel, to find freedom through movement.

allowing oneself to pause the happenings of the mind and tap into the wisdom of the body.

as the mind rests, the body takes over. moving in ways it may not have moved before. having been confined to rigidity for so long, this invitation to let go… mmm, it’s hard to describe.

within this space you learn to listen to the whispers of your bones, the breath of your blood, the yearnings of the heart.

the pain, the pleasure, the beauty, the mess… it all becomes a part of the dance.

a dance where every part of yourself is brought to the table. a dance where you are finally seen, not by others, but by yourself. bliss.

Sitting in the sacred energies of Guru Purnima.

Guru Purnima is time of honouring the Guru in all it’s many forms. A time to give thanks to all of the people, things and circumstances that have helped to bring light into our lives and guide us along the path to our Dharma (truth).

We each have countless Gurus to which we can attribute our growth thus far as humans. The first being our parents.

Honouring ourselves as our Guru is also a beautiful practice. Acknowledging that within our cells we hold all of the wisdom, knowledge, skills and love that we could ever need throughout this human experience.

We honour the Land, the sea, the sky and all of the beings and lifeforms held within these environments. Seeing that we are merely a reflection of nature, and by observing her happenings we are guided a step closer to knowing our true selves.

And then we honour all of the people who have gifted us with their guidance, love, trust, support, wisdom, lessons… in helping shape our experience of life and guide us out of the darkness and into the light.

I am so beyond grateful for all of my many teachers. I thank you and I honour you.

as my first ever Yoga teacher and a dear friend, you have played such a fundamental role in my life. Words cannot express how grateful I am for your support and for being the beautiful role model that you are. Thank you.

you bring so much joy into my life and even more wisdom. I am very very very very grateful for you Dave.
merritt12 thank you for teaching me the power of resilience and community. You are amazing my brother.

.murphy .tv plus everyone I’ve ever met… you’re all a Guru in your own way!

COME TO KIRTAN 🌸🏄🏼‍♂️🤭

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

We gather this coming Sunday, the 17th of July, following the recent Full Moon that is traditionally celebrated in honour of the Guru.

During Guru Poornima (Skrt. Full Moon), we celebrate the grace, play and fulfilment of awakening or Self-revelation.

We honour and open to all the ways by which we receive transmission, wisdom teachings and practices, especially our teachers, community, the spaces where we gather, and the very unfolding of our lives.

We contemplate the the lives and works of realised masters, the yogis and yoginis, mystics and saints and we attune to their living and continuous presence.

Finally, we practice seeing ourselves, our embodied human selves, as whole, full of wisdom, and perfectly expressing the bliss and wisdom of Being. We claim clear-seeing, love, and spontaneous expression as our birth right.”

We will be honouring this celebration by sitting in the Sadhana (practice) that is Kirtan! Join us for 2 hours of delicious mantra and community from 6pm-8pm at on Saturday the 17th of July 🦋

This is a by-donation event (cash only) and EVERYONE is welcome.

We will be having a little potluck after we sit together too. If you would like to join us, bring a dish to share and a bowl for yourself and with a tummy ready to be filled with nourishment.

Jai Sri Guru 🪷

May the essence of strength weave its way through our lives as connection to Self, community and our practice (or goal) is developed.

May we invite a sense of renewal and rebirth as we persevere through any feelings of resistance we may feel.

And may this cultivation of resilience allow us to fall into the sweet dance of beauty, as we blossom into who we are, and who we are destined to be.

Just as the lotus blossoms from the muddy waters, there is so much beauty to be found when we allow ourselves to sit with discomfort.

At the start of the month, we journeyed into the cozy forest of Macquarie Pass to initiate ourselves into the start of the 90 day cold immersion challenge that takes place each winter for

There are many practices that bring me peace through discomfort… one of the most profound being the touch of cold water on my skin. Each time my body moves from the land to the water, it reminds me of my humanness.. but also how much more than human each of us are.

My heart and my breath pause for a moment as the initial shock of the temperature takes place. But it’s through the ever evolving practice of surrender that intertwines its way through my life that this peace is found.

Coming back to the breath
Coming back to the body, and most importantly,
Coming back to the Earth.

While floating in the very cold, but very delicious waterfall, I was captivated by this tree. From the start of the roots to the end of its branches, it wasn’t the biggest tree… but its root system was incredible, vast, and strong.

Strength, resilience and nourishment is something that takes place below surface level in order to create the beauty we see on the outside. Just like the roots of a tree, just like a lotus, just like community.

Within a community, each person is like a root of a tree. Each bringing a different form of nourishment, of love, of wisdom, of pain, of lessons, of strength. And from each heart, together we create the space for something beautiful to grow.

If you’d like to experience the beauty of the cold and the magic of community head over to

big big thank you to for the pretty picture 🤭🌷
