At Bullsbrook Medical Centre, we’re prioritising our senior patients early this season.

🥴Feeling tired all the time? It might not just be “life.”

Iron deficiency is one of the most common (and often overlooked) causes of:
✅Fatigue and low energy
✅Brain fog or poor concentration
✅ Hair thinning
✅Shortness of breath or reduced exercise tolerance

Many people assume it’s just stress, poor sleep, or getting older—but low iron is treatable once identified.

At Bullsbrook Medical Centre, we can:
✔️Assess your symptoms
✔️Arrange appropriate blood tests
✔️ Identify the cause (not just treat the number)
✔️ Offer tailored treatment options, including iron supplementation or infusions if needed

Don’t ignore ongoing fatigue — it’s worth checking.

Know someone who’s always exhausted? Tag them 👇
Or share this—might help someone get checked earlier.

👉 A practice committed to getting better — for our community.

Bullsbrook Medical Centre has once again achieved AGPAL Accreditation ✅

Accreditation isn’t a one-off milestone. It’s something we undertake regularly to ensure we continue to meet — and exceed — the national RACGP Standards for quality and safety.

For us, this goes beyond compliance.

It reflects how we operate every day:
✔️ Continuously improving our systems and processes
✔️ Strengthening patient safety and clinical governance
✔️ Holding our practice to a higher standard — year after year

This recognition reflects the work happening behind the scenes, and our commitment to doing things properly — for our patients and our community.

Thank you for your ongoing trust.

🧦💙 World Down Syndrome Day – 21 March 💛🧦

On 21 March, we recognise World Down Syndrome Day, a global day dedicated to celebrating people with Down syndrome and promoting inclusion, understanding, and equal opportunities. The date (21/3) symbolises the three copies of chromosome 21 (Trisomy 21).

At Bullsbrook Medical Centre, this day is particularly meaningful to our team, and we are proud to stand with individuals and families in our community living with Down syndrome.

Join the global “Lots of Socks” movement by wearing bright or mismatched socks on March 21 to start conversations and show your support. 🧦

🦠 Shingles Action Week – Protect Yourself Against Shingles

Did you know that 1 in 3 Australians will develop shingles during their lifetime?

Shingles is caused by reactivation of the chickenpox virus and can lead to a painful rash, nerve pain, and long-term complications that may significantly impact quality of life.

The good news — shingles can be prevented.

A free shingles vaccine is available under the National Immunisation Program for eligible patients, including:

• Adults aged 65 years
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 50 years and over
• Certain immunocompromised patients

At Bullsbrook Medical Centre, your GP and nurse can:
✅ Check your eligibility
✅ Discuss shingles risk and prevention
✅ Provide vaccination safely at the clinic

If you are unsure whether you qualify, speak to our reception team to book an appointment with your GP.
Protect yourself — prevention is far easier than treating shingles.
