🌬️ Sometimes the simplest practices are the most powerful.
✨ Breathe in calm.
✨ Breathe out stress.
A reminder that slowing down, even for a few breaths, can shift your whole day. 💚
What do you need to breathe in today? And what can you let go of on the exhale?

When food struggles cause stress, anxiety, or affect growth and health, it could be early warning signs of eating disorders like Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).
You don’t have to work this out on your own. We’re here to offer a supportive space and expert guidance to help you understand what’s happening early, before it becomes more serious.
Join Paediatric Dietitian Dr Lyza Norton for a FREE 15–20 minute one-on-one Q&A session. This is a chance to have your questions answered in a supportive, informal online chat about what you’re observing at home.
Grab a coffee, bring your concerns or questions, and Dr Norton will provide expert insights to help you understand what’s happening and figure out your next steps.
Our Next Drop-In Session:

Beyond the Business: Building a solo private practice that works for you.
Starting a private practice can feel overwhelming. Between the logistics, the values that drive your work and the need to stay grounded in your own body, it’s easy to lose sight of what matters most.
Kellie has been in private practice since 2017 and has built up a thriving business. She is now sharing her journey with others in this free online webinar.
This webinar is designed for mental health clinicians in Australia who are considering solo private practice or already starting out.
We’ll look at:
✅ Practical steps to get started
✅ Aligning your practice with your values so it feels authentic
✅ Somatic tools to keep you grounded and doing the work you most love.
📅 Date: 26th September
🕖 Time: 07.00am (ASWT) 1 hour
📍 Online via Zoom (please note this session will be recorded)
If you’re ready to go beyond the business and create a solo private practice that truly works for you, I’d love you to join me.

✨ Free Online Webinar for Mental Health Clinicians ✨
You are warmly welcomed to my upcoming free webinar:
“Integrating lifestyle medicine and ancestral wisdom: a fresh lens for mental health clinicians”
Over the past few years, I’ve been immersing myself in the emerging field of Lifestyle Medicine, exploring how the six pillars—nutrition, movement, restorative sleep, stress reduction, substance reduction (including tech) and social connection—can transform mental health outcomes.
Alongside this, I bring knowledge and lived practice in ancestral wisdom traditions, drawing on ways of knowing that honour story, ritual, land and connection.
This journey has led me to embark on my next step: beginning my Master of Lifestyle Medicine (HDR) research next year, focusing on integrating lifestyle and ancestral medicine and wisdom can contribute to the mental health space in Australia.
In this free webinar, I’ll share:
🌱 An introduction to lifestyle medicine in the mental health context
🌱 Conceptualising ancestral medicine and wisdom and how it can offer a deeper layer of meaning, belonging and healing
🌱Current research and research gaps
🌱 Practical reflections for clinicians to bring into their own work and lives (including scope of practice)
📅 Date: 19 September
🕖 Time: 07:00am (ASWT) (1 hour)
📍 Online via Zoom (please note the session will be recorded)

We know that carers have a critical role in eating disorder recovery, and as a result, carers often experience significant physical and emotional distress.
EDFA’s Fill The Gap Counselling (FTG) service was established In 2023 to address the lack of targeted, specialised, lived-experience Informed support.
Join us at this FREE webinar for carers, clinicians, and anyone looking to learn more about EDFA’s Fill The Gap Counselling service.
Please note this webinar is FREE and open for both EDFA members and non-members.
We’re excited to announce that guided, online Brief Binge Eating eTherapy (Brief BEeT) sessions are now available for young people with the support of an eheadspace clinician!
Earlier in the year we teamed up with InsideOut Institute for Eating Disorders to bring Brief BEeT for free to young people aged 16 – 25 years.
Young people can now complete Brief BEeT:
• Online, with guidance from a eheadspace clinician 💬
• Online, at their own pace 💻
• With in-person support at a local headspace centre 🏡
Whatever suits your young person best! If you’re a parent or carer and you’d like to learn more, click here: http://bit.ly/44qCCln 💚

🌿 Holistic Lifestyle Practice - 100% Telehealth Aug 25th 2025 🌿
Dear valued clients (and future clients),
By now you have hopefully received an email with the upcoming changes and details. (please check you spam folder as sometimes they end up in there)
It is with deep reflection that I make this big change and embrace flexibility and accessibility by moving entirely to telehealth. This will either be via zoom or phone depending on your choice.
You can now access mental health support from the comfort of your own space online and across Australia. Please rest assured that the quality of support, presence and professionalism you’ve come to expect will remain the same. I’ll continue to offer the same evidence-based, trauma-informed and compassionate approach — just through a more flexible format.
If you are eligible for a Medicare rebate, this won't change as this can occur for up to 10 sessions via telehealth.
I am mindful that this is an adjustment and I am committed to supporting you through this change whether it is through telehealth or supporting you to access a new practitioner locally.
Whether you're navigating mental health concerns, trauma, eating disorders, burnout, stress, grief or seeking clinical supervision for mental health practitioners, I'm here for you — online, across Australia.
Please don't hesitate to call, text or email with any questions or concerns.
As a mental health practitioner, I see how trauma stays with us, not just in memories, but in the body.
Somatic experiencing gently invites us to listen to the nervous system to restore a sense of safety, presence, choice and control.
The body holds the wisdom for healing.
Be the first to know and let us send you an email when Holistic Lifestyle Practice posts news and promotions. Your email address will not be used for any other purpose, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
