Stress doesn’t always feel dramatic — sometimes it’s just a constant hum in the background.
It might look like:
• Feeling “on” all the time
• Snapping at loved ones
• Trouble sleeping, even when exhausted
• Moving through your days on autopilot
These are often signs your body is asking for a reset.
💛 Noticing is the first step.

A little something special has landed on our table… 💛
These hand-painted rocks were created in collaboration with the wonderful women from South West Volunteers. Each one carries a message, with the intention of being shared out in the community for someone to discover when they need it most.
We love the idea that something small can bring a moment of connection, kindness, or encouragement.
Keep an eye out… you never know where they might appear ✨

April can quietly bring a familiar thought: “Where has the time gone?”
If you’re feeling behind, you’re not alone — but what if April isn’t a checkpoint to measure yourself against? What if it’s a chance to pause instead?
Rather than pushing harder, this month can be a gentle reset. A moment to slow down, reflect, and ask what you actually need right now.
✨ You don’t have to keep running on empty.

April is Autism Awareness Month 💛

It’s a time not only to raise awareness, but to deepen understanding, acceptance, and support — especially for autistic women and girls, whose experiences are often overlooked or misunderstood.

We’re grateful to organisations like Yellow Ladybugs, who are leading important conversations and providing resources to help our community better understand and support autistic women.
If you’d like to learn more or find ways to show your support, we encourage you to explore their work:
https://www.yellowladybugs.com.au/

Here at SWWHIC, we’ll have a handful of Yellow Ladybug badges available in the clinic throughout April for our community to wear and share support 💛

Our Grounded Women’s Group have also been busy creating something special — painting yellow ladybugs that will soon find a home in our clinic garden. Keep an eye out next time you visit 🐞
Creating a space where all women feel seen, understood, and supported is at the heart of what we do.

Such a beautiful acknowledgement of a really special program that we were able to run last year with Nicky from True Equanimity Yoga & Meditation.

The funding support from Yoga For Good allowed us to pilot an idea that we were all passionate about and develop it into our Mindful Movement program for 2026.

Nicky will be leading our 6 week series for Term 2 starting on the 20th of April. Registrations are now open.

Very grateful to Yoga For Good grant and partnering with South West Women's Health and Information Centre for Empower Her earlier this year.

🎨✨ Introducing the Creative Space at SWWHIC! ✨🎨

Our Creative Space is now open every Wednesday morning from 10:00am–12:00pm at South West Women’s Health Information Centre — a calm, welcoming place for women to explore creativity at their own pace.

This space is yours to:
💜 Work on personal projects
💜 Experiment with materials we have on hand
💜 Relax, unwind, and enjoy a supportive environment

On the third Wednesday of each month, the Creative Space is used for Art Therapy Workshops, guided by Dani, offering:
🎨 A safe space for self-expression
🎨 Gentle therapeutic guidance
🎨 Opportunities to explore emotions through colour, texture, and form

You’re very welcome to join these workshops — or simply drop in on other Wednesdays to create whatever inspires you.

Want to know what Dani will be running in the space? Get in touch with us for more info!

Come along, get creative, and see where your imagination takes you! 🌸

Adenomyosis — the condition many people haven’t heard of
Have you ever heard of adenomyosis?

Many people haven’t — until they’ve been living with symptoms for years.

Adenomyosis can cause:
• Heavy or prolonged bleeding
• Clotting
• Painful cramps
• Pelvic heaviness or pressure
• Pain that worsens with age or after pregnancy

Heavy periods aren’t always “just hormones.” Sometimes your uterus is working overtime.
We’re opening up this important (and under-talked-about) conversation in our latest blog.

The more we talk about it, the less alone people feel. 💛
