Sometimes joy is small — the sound of birds in the morning, a laugh that sneaks up on you, a quiet moment of peace after a long day. 💛
You don’t need grand celebrations to feel connection. The small, everyday things are often where real warmth lives.
As this year closes, we at SWWHIC hope you take time to breathe, rest, and notice the good that quietly surrounds you. 🌿

For some of us, this season carries more ache than sparkle. Maybe you’re missing someone, maybe life just feels tender. Please know — it’s okay if joy feels far away right now.
Take things gently. Light a candle, rest when you can, let the memories come softly. There’s no right way to grieve, heal, or move forward — only your way.
We at SWWHIC see you. You’re not alone in this. 💛
🌸 If this resonates, our newest blog shares more gentle reflections for those finding the holidays hard.

Christmas can be a joyful time for many, but we also know it can be a difficult and heavy season for others.
This Christmas, we want to acknowledge that it’s okay if the festive period doesn’t feel joyful. Everyone’s experience is different, and it’s important to be kind to ourselves and each other. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available — the poster shared includes services and contact numbers for those who may need them.

You’re not alone, and help is always there. 💛

We couldn’t help but smile at this photo shared by our CEO, Christina, from a recent team meeting. ☕💛
Danielle — our amazing Dragonfly coffee van coordinator — definitely took note-taking to the next level!
It just goes to show how wonderfully unique we all are — whether it’s how we take our coffee or how we capture our ideas. Some use notebooks, some use post-its… and some use coffee cups 😉

Keep an eye on our page in 2026 to see where the Dragonfly Van will be popping up for coffee, chats, health info and plenty of laughs.

The Connect for a Cause ladies are feeling festive and ready for Christmas! 🎄✨
We loved these beautiful photos from their Christmas wrap-up — such a wonderful reflection of connection, creativity and community.
This fun-filled group meets fortnightly during school terms to knit and crochet items for people in need, all while enjoying a cuppa, good conversation and plenty of laughs.
A truly special group and one to keep in mind for 2026. 🧶💛

There’s a quiet kind of strength in saying no — and meaning it with love. 🌿
You don’t have to go to every gathering or make everything perfect. Sometimes, the kindest thing you can do for yourself is to rest.
If guilt whispers, remind yourself: boundaries aren’t walls — they’re self-care. They help you show up with a full heart when it truly matters.
This season, give yourself permission to pause, to breathe, and to choose peace over pressure. 💛

The other week we were pleased to host our Protect Your Vibe youth event at Koolambidi Woola — a positive and engaging space designed to support young people aged 12–18 in building confidence, strengthening protective behaviours, and sharing their ideas for a new co-designed “Protect Your Vibe” resource.

A sincere thank you to Lotterywest, whose generous funding made this event possible. Their support ensured that all activities were free for participants and helped us create a safe, accessible, and empowering space for local young people.

The afternoon included:
🍦 Free soft-serve ice-cream from Griffo’s van
🎨 Bracelet making and mindful colouring
🎁 Prizes and giveaways
🎤 Guest speakers Rachel (Quite Frankly Coaching), Danae (Nurtured Intimacy), and Georgia (SWWHIC)
💭 A collaborative brainstorming activity where young people shared their insights on how they “protect their vibe,” contributing directly to the development of our new youth-focused flyer

We are grateful to the young people who attended and engaged so thoughtfully in each activity. Your ideas, energy, and honesty continue to guide the work we do.
Once again, thank you to Lotterywest for supporting this important youth initiative.
