💫 Feel good from the inside out

In Yin Yoga, we hold floor-based postures passively for several minutes, applying safe, positive stress to the deeper layers of connective tissue (fascia, ligaments, and joints). While most modern yoga styles are dynamic and target the active “yang” tissues like muscles, Yin complements this by nurturing the quieter “yin” side of the body.

Physical benefits include:
• Restoring and maintaining natural joint mobility
• Increasing overall flexibility and tissue health

Energetically, it opens the meridian system, enhances energy flow (chi/prana), and supports emotional balance.

As we target these deeper layers, we create space to gently release long-held tension in both body and mind.

Yin has a profoundly meditative quality — it invites you to slow down, step away from life’s busyness, and fully surrender to the present moment. By quieting the mind and softening into stillness, you’ll leave class feeling more peaceful, centered, and deeply relaxed.

About Me

Teaching yoga is one of the greatest joys of Gyani’s life. She has dedicated 10 years living and training in yoga ashrams/retreats around the world. Her journey led her to India where she spent a life changing 3 years living in an ashram experiencing a yogic lifestyle and the more esoteric practices of yoga.

Gyani teaches an integral style of Hatha Yoga which incorporates Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Nidra and in recent years has specialised in Yin Yoga/Restorative Yoga. Gyani has a taste for ‘the subtle’ and her intention when teaching yoga is to share the deeper aspects of yoga - integrating meditation and breath work into her classes. She hopes to make the benefits of yoga accessible to all and always offers her classes with joy, passion and a smile.

Now living and teaching yoga in the Bunbury and the Ferguson Valley. She teaches public classes in Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Nidra. She also teaches a selection of workshops and retreats that enable you to go deeper in your yoga practice. She is available for private sessions and can create a tailor made personal practice for you to enjoy at home.
