Small Business Growth Grants – Access up to $10,000 in Matched Funding

WA small businesses can now apply for matched funding of up to $10,000 through the Small Business Growth Grants program to access specialist services that build capability, improve safety, and drive growth.

BNI Referral Leaders Bunbury is a network of specialist service providers offering a wide range of eligible services under this program, including:

* Work Health & Safety (Psychosocial Risk Management) – WA Mental Health – workplace audits, WHS compliance, hazard management, and mental health strategies.
* People Management & Workforce Development – WA Mental Health and Plan + Do HQ – leadership coaching, HR systems, and team development.
* Marketing & Communications Planning – Moshi Moshi – branding, digital marketing, and campaign strategy.
* Strategic Business Planning & Process Improvement – Plan + Do HQ– growth strategies, business planning, and operational efficiency.
* Financial Planning & Advisory – Checked and Balanced WA, KGL Accountants - Business Advisors & Accountants – financial strategy, budgeting, and performance improvement.

By working with BNI Referral Leaders Bunbury, you gain access to trusted, local providers who meet the program’s requirements and can prepare grant-compliant quotes to support your application.

Eligibility:
- WA-based business with ABN & GST registration (before 1 January 2024)
- Operating for at least 18 months
- Employing 1–20 full-time equivalent (FTE) staff
- Annual turnover over $100,000

How it works:
- The grant funds 50% of your project cost (up to $10,000).
- Services must start within 1 month of approval and be completed within 6 months.

Let’s be honest — BNI 1-2-1s don’t need to be stiff, scripted, or stuck at a table. They can be creative, relaxed, and actually fun. 🧖🏽‍♀️

Today I had a 1-2-1 with the lovely Faye from Fayetastic Beauty and it was the perfect mix of business chat and beauty therapy. While we spoke about our journeys, the type of clients we work with, and how we can support each other… she also waxed and tinted my eyebrows 🙌🏼

This is what makes BNI so powerful. It’s not just about handing out business cards or ticking a box. It’s about building real relationships, understanding the quality of what someone offers, and getting to know the person behind the brand.

Referring someone is a big deal — you want to feel confident in what they do. And getting to experience Faye’s services firsthand? I can now refer her with total confidence.

BNI Recap – What a Morning!

We kicked off today bright and early with a power-packed 8am Before BNI 1-2-1 session, joined by Jaida from Willow Childminding - Western Australia, Iain from Bunbury Cleaning Services, Marina from Marina Quain - City of Bunbury Councillor, Nathan from Preece Construction, Jason from SW Home Handyman Solutions and Alyssa from WA Mental Health.

These catch-ups are such a valuable part of our chapter – they’re where real connections are built, referrals are made, and we get to know the people behind the businesses. BNI is all about “Givers Gain” – and 1-2-1s are how we truly put that into practice.

At 9am we officially launched into our regular meeting, welcoming familiar faces and celebrating another morning of networking, support, and collaboration.
