A little preparation before your appointment can make the experience smoother and help your practitioner assess your needs properly.

• Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment
• If suitable for you, consider avoiding blood-thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, fish oil or ibuprofen in the days leading up to your visit
