Living Strong Physiotherapy Living Strong Physiotherapy has been operating since 2015, Living Strong was a mobile physio service covering Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and surrounding areas.

Scott was diagnosed with cancer, and Living Strong Physiotherapy was put on hold while treatment and healing was taking place. Living Strong is now operating part time from Bundabah, NSW. Scott has over 23 years of physiotherapy experience, 11 years of which were spent as a community physiotherapist for Hunter New England Health. Scotts expertise includes areas of physiotherapy assessment and treatment, injury and post-op rehabilitation, exercise prescriptions and training programs, dry needling, Mobility Assessment / Fall Prevention and Balance Retraining, Exercise for the Disabled; Prescription of aids to assist activities of daily living; Safe Manual Handling Education and Training for Carers of Disabled Persons; Hydrotherapy Programs, Chronic Disease Exercise Plans, including group based programs for people with numerous co-morbidities and complex needs.

Scott is working in conjunction with the University of NSW to help deliver the Ironbark Project into communities across Australia.

The Ironbark Project is the first fall prevention program in Australia, developed and evaluated specifically for Aboriginal people with Aboriginal people.

Scott is helping to deliver the training to communities and local health districts so they can role out this very important program. Late last year he was lucky enough to head to Thursday Island in the Torres Straits, Mount Isa and next he’s training health professionals from South East Sydney Local Health District.
