You are the decider of your destiny!

Every day you make hundreds of decisions and have thousands of thoughts. Each one with its own unique combination of outcomes and possibilities.
It’s a bit like the old ‘Choose your own Adventure’ books where every moment is the beginning of a new destination.

You are the author of your own story.
If you find yourself stuck on the same page, you have the power to start a new chapter.

What are you waiting for?
Stop over analysing and start living.

Where will your story take you today? 🌸

Sometimes our brain focuses on the negative things that happen to the exclusion of all else.

If you are someone who tends to do that (I know, I do), then you have created some "negative cognitive habits"!

And habits are just that.... 'habits' ---- Things we have done repeatedly until we do them without even realising we are doing it!

So turn off your auto-pilot and pay attention to what you are thinking and where you are going.

You have heard me say, "where your attention goes - your energy flows".

Don't keep putting all your attention on the bad things that happen.

Life is full of BOTH good and bad things...

That's never going to change!

So why do we freely accept the good stuff, but reject, resist and fight with the bad? What a waste of energy!!

So let it go - the energy you invest in it, isn't worth the stress, the lost sleep, the anxiety - And more importantly, it's probably not worth the result either.

Today is a new day...... Don't lose a precious moment of it by sweating the small stuff.

Life is bigger than that!

Why do people always say “Choose your battles” in parenting?

Children aren’t our enemies.

And childhood shouldn’t be a battleground.

Let’s choose peace instead.

Because the thing is, children don’t ‘mis’behave. They behave, either positively or negatively, to communicate.

Listening ‘between the lines’ to our children’s behavior and meeting the need behind the behavior opens little hearts and minds to peaceful, effective guidance.

Remember, the solution to every parenting problem starts with nine little words:

'I'm here.'
'I hear you.'
'How can I help?'

Because when needs are met through connection, hearts are opened to gentle, respectful, compassionate guidance.

You are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you making you spill your coffee everywhere.

Why did you spill the coffee?

"Because someone bumped into me!!!"

Wrong answer.

You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup.

Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.

*Whatever is inside the cup is what spills out.*

Therefore, when life comes along and smashes into you (which WILL happen), whatever is inside you will come out. It's easy to fake it, until you get rattled.

*So we have to ask ourselves... “What's in my cup?"*

When life gets tough, what spills over?

Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility?

Anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions?

Life provides the cup, YOU choose how to fill it.

Today let's work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation; and kindness, gentleness and love for others.

Feel free to share and spill some grace, joy or love today ❤️

“The problem when you are a strong, capable, self-confident person, is that more often than not, people think that you don't really need things like comfort, reassurance, loyalty and guidance. People are more likely to look at you and say, "She doesn't need this", "She doesn't need that", "She's already all of this and all of that". But then the truth is that most probably, you are a strong, capable, self-confident person because you built yourself brick-by-brick into that person; because you HAD to BECOME that person; because you had determination enough to make yourself into the image that you knew you needed to become. At the heart of many strong, confident people, is a heart most longing of the things that others simply take for granted.”

A Tomato has four chambers and is red in colour - the heart is also red and has four chambers.

Research has confirmed that tomatoes are loaded with lycopine and it is indeed pure heart and blood food.

If you learn to listen to your bodies - they will tell you what you need but we are so desensitised - so removed from our natural and innate state.

When I had a blood transfusion and nearly lost my life, I was craving tomato soup (I hate tomato soup) and when I started to slowly recover, I was wanting to eat raw tomatoes.

I didn't realise at the time - but my body knew what my mind did not - that a single tomato can provide about 40% of the daily vitamin C requirement and also contains vitamin A, potassium, and iron that is essential for maintaining normal blood health. Vitamin K, which is controls bleeding and blood clotting, tomatoes help in blood circulation.

Nature created foods to be medicine (and people then procreated foods to be poison). Many natural foods can sometimes look like the body part they are designed to heal. Trust nature (not industry advertising), trust your body (not food pyramids) and trust your built-in intuitive response. You already know what you need.

Love happens in the head - not in the heart!

This is an MRI of a mother kissing her baby. The coloured areas show where a surge of chemical activity in particular parts of the brain would occur - The result of an overwhelming emotion of love exchanged between mother and child.

The neurochemicals, dopamine and oxytocin, play a major role in maternal love and help the mother and baby bond in the most amazing way.

There is nothing quite like a mother's love for her child, and with the innovations of science, now we can SEE love in the brain.

"We are born of love. Love is our Mother" ~Rumi

Our brains are either growing or dying.

The billions of Neurons in your brain need to be stimulated with novel information to grow new connections.

We are never too old to learn new things and studies show crosswords, sudoku and exercise can help buffer us against neural degeneration.

Easy things to learn - big results!

How many of the tasks below can you do to grow your brain?

Happy people choose to focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative.

Life will serve up both good and bad events and YOU will choose how to manage them..... There will always be moments of joy and there will always be moments of pain. Each moment will vary in length and intensity, but not one person on this earth is exempt from this rule.

So today set your mind on the positive side of life (even if things are not going well). It starts with a choice!

Don't let the bad stuff bog you down.

Change your focus..... You will quickly discover there is always, ALWAYS, something to be grateful for.

We all have different talents and abilities.
It's our uniqueness that makes this world much more interesting and fun.

There is no one else like YOU on this planet. Even identical twins are not exactly "identical". Twins who start out with the exact same DNA always have slightly different DNA by the time they're born.

Twins are likely to grow up with different interests, different values, different dreams and different skills.

So your individuality and uniqueness will never be duplicated and that makes you pretty rare and special.

What's your special skill? What makes you stand out from the crowd?

How about EGG ART? That's pretty unique.

Known as Etoni Mama on Instagram, this mum is the best at making kyaraben or character bento. Kyaraben is the art of styling food to mimic the look of characters, animals, or people.

Click on this link and check out this incredible art. Very impressive.

This mom of three from Japan is a master of making the cutest dishes using eggs. Her creations are almost too adorable to eat! See them here.
